 Dirty Work
Dirty Work Quote: Dirty Work is a 1998 comedy buddy film starring Norm Macdonald, Artie Lange, and Jack Warden. It was directed by Bob Saget. In the film, long-time friends Mitch (Macdonald) and Sam (Lange) start a successful revenge-for-hire business, and try to earn money for heart surgery for Pops (Warden). All goes well until they must do a dirty job for an unscrupulous businessman. In order to be paid, and expose their deadbeat customer, the pair hatch an outrageous revenge scheme of their own.
The film was the first starring vehicle for Macdonald and Lange, and the first feature film directed by Saget (he had directed a television film drama on ABC one prior to this). One year before, Saget had left his long-running role as host of America's Funniest Home Videos to begin a directing career.
The film received broadly negative reviews from critics, and received low box office returns. However, it has since become a cult favorite, due partially to Artie Lange's since-increased popularity on The Howard Stern Show where the film is sometimes mentioned in often unflattering terms.
Despite the negative reviews, Chris Farley's "shut your cake hole, Yoko" line was voted the 5th funniest line in cinema history by the Internet Movie Database. Stupid.

Dirty Work is hilarious. To hell with you! Norm Macdonald and his customized voice are ats its highest hype in this, and the jokes flow. Also Chris Farley as the no-nose guy is awesome. Lots of skit-like moments that are perfect(itch inducing brownies Adam Sandler as the devil). Great pool-bar fight scene with pool cues with Pina Coladas playing in the background. And yes most of it is smart comedy in my opinion.

This movie was sadly overlooked pretty much when it came out but it is hilarious

I do not remember much, but I do remember that I thought the film was very funny.

I love this movie. I like a few scenes in particular (the rape aftermath, Don Rickles insulting Norm and Artie, anything with Chris Farley) a lot more than the entire movie itself, but that's fine. It's still a funny movie.

Men in Black who like to have Sex with each other. I think perhaps my favorite mainstream/porno mashup ever. This movie is great comedy and I wish Norm, and his EXTREME sarcasm, could have had a different career.

 Re: Dirty Work
I saw it again for the first time tonight in quite sometime. It doesn't hold up well at all. I didn't find the flm to be anywhere near as funny as before and Bob Saget is a horrible director. He just leaves certain scenes unfinished and the film in certain points doesn't make a whole lot of sense. That saying, even though I said it wasn't anywhere near as funny as I thought it once was, that doesn't mean there isn't anything funny here. It is. McDonald and Lange's sarcastic humor works very well most of the time. And Don Rickels is hilarious. But it's Chris Farley who steals the show in most of the scenes he's in. He has two speeches in the film that are hilarious.
So, although I don't think the film is as funny as it once was, it's still worth watching.

 Re: Dirty Work
Just came across this on Prime and decided to check it out, it's an amusing film. The humor is pretty dry and the story clichéd. But its got a fun cast with some good characters and I enjoyed seeing all these actors in their late 90's times. Especially Farley is great.

Yeah, pretty much how I found it too. Good movie. It's probably a movie that hinges on how much you like Norm, which I do so I liked the comedy.
