MikeQ. wrote: I just thought, it would actually be really good in the veto competition to just try and make sure Ivette doesn't win and concentrate on her. Then, at the veto competition, Janelle put up Ivette and knock her out. She's the holding block between a lot of people. If you knock out Ivette, you knock out a strong member of the Core, you knock out a partnership with Beau, a strong bond with Maggie, and most importantly, you knock out the ONLY person in the house that James likes and can talk to. Ivette gone leaves less chance for James to completely turn against the outcasts.
Agree? Disagree?
PEACE, Mike.
I agree and disagree. They would be cutting out James' link to the Core, but Maggie is also their leader, and she's the one who keeps them on target and going. Gettign rid of her gets rid of their order and focus.

Wow, just catched the last ten minutes. Anyway, watching perenial bronze-medalist (and Paris Hilton wannabe) Janelle win was a bittersweet moment in my eyes. Bitter, because she's a wittless pain in the ass, but sweet cause this is, like, the seventh week in a row the power shifts in terms as to who holds the HOH...and it's nice to keep shaking things up.
As to who will leave. Ivette and Beau will want to keep Maggie around, while April will naturally side with Jennifer unless she feels it's a lost cause. James will most likely follow with Ivette (why burn his last bridge?), unless Howie and Janelle want his vote to get ride of Maggie and offer him a better deal. But yeah, they'll probably go after Jen anyway...but they shouldn't -- Maggie's the real mastermind behind the Core. So, if I had to wager I'd say bye-bye to Jenny.

Ah, no! Janelle is awesome.
Did you not hear her "Bye, bitches" shpiel (sp?) after the nominations? I was cracking up.
They deserved it too, especially after Jennifer The Bitch *threw* the HOH key at her.

Yeah "Bye, bitches"...how original
Anyway, am I missing something? Why the hell has America fallen in love with her? All she does is dish out these B-list insults and everybody cheers her on. Seriously, I just don't get it.

The whole house has said many, many times how smart Janelle is. She's a smart person, but continues to get judged unfairly by some audience members because she has blonde hair and looks great. The notion that she is smart is not just something made up by some of us; the whole house talks about how strong she is mentally and how intelligent she is. She has come close to win many HOH competitions, and finally deservingly won one. She has also not lied a single time in the game, as far as I can remember. She has never made any false promises, backstabbed anyone, etc. She's strong, smart, loyal, carries herself well, defends herself, and can play the game. I just love her. I have real reasons for listing her as number one.
PEACE, Mike.

I dont catch the show much, but I watched it today and it was great. The whole house just breaking down and really saying how they feel about each other was great. That Howie and Janelle are the best, they're really getting under the other teams skin, dont see how she's stupid at all really, hell she kicked ass in that HOH competition, she might act a bit like a dumb blonde, but she doesnt play like one at all.

I've never judged anyone in the house based on looks. And quite frankly, all the HOH and POV challeges are just trivial bull shit that have no baring on anyone's IQ. Anyway, you presented your case, and to be fair, I'll present mine:
- She was won over by Mike the Perv...the guy with the English teeth
- She procaimed herself a snob on national television...
- She dumped her current boyfriend on national television...classy eh?
- At times she seems to be channeling the essances of Cameron Diaz and Paris Hilton
- Her non-stop usage of the word "bitch" is starting to grate my nerves
- She constantly sports overly excessive amounts of lip gloss (it just irratates me for some reason)
- And to be honest, it's hard to take her serious when she gets all "worked up" over something and starts spewing profanities (mostly "bitch") while saying things like "I'm out for blood" and "I'll be the biggest bitch in the house if..."
You can talk about her loyalties (although she was never really presented an opportunity to be disloyal) and the (supposed) fact that she's being judged by her looks, but I'll stick by my statements.

Howie is still my favorite. I loved how when Julie said it was a double eviction he gets up, yells and sits back down with an embarrassed look. It was great seeing the fight between Howie and April. I only heared the fight. Didn't see the video. And how April was crying. HA!
"I want pizza. How bout some PEPPORONI!" (or something like that).

I have a lot more respect for Janelle, who says shit about people to their face, than April who says crap about everyone behind their back, and then pretends to be above everyone else. She proclaimed herself a snob... so? She likes Michael... so? I don't get the big deal behind those, but okay. Also, I think you're really grasping for reasons to not like her when one of those is because she wears a lot of lip gloss.
Anyways, it's all cool. You're allowed to hate Janelle all you want.
PEACE, Mike.

Meh, I just don't get why she's so well-liked. And smart? It's almost as if she and Howie are held to double standards. I mean, Eric goes bonkers with Michael and everybody cries foul (and rightfully so). Howie bullies April and people seem to love it. And it's not that I like April, but watching a 34 year-old man behave that way is just pathetic and uncalled for.
I dunno, it's just that the most popular contestants from previous seasons just seemed to be so much more bareable. Like BB5's Nakomis and Karren, or BB3's Lisa and Danielle. Janelle is just to damn wittless to earn all this praise IMO.

And also, if saying shit to a person's face refers to getting tanked and yelling things like "Go fuck yourself!" and "You're a bitch!", than I don't see anything respectable in that. Entertaining, maybe, but not admirable.
Anyway, sorry if I'm being a pain in the butt.

oh but the part where janelle was like, rachel you are so pretty [rachel: why thanks janey] then janelle goes right past maggie and says, maggie you're a bitch.
i thought that was classic. and it made me hysterical so for that i think janelle is awesome.
also the "Jennifer, you look like a clown" bit had me in stitches.
she may not be AS SMART as everyone says.
but she makes for some DAMN good entertainment.

Hey, it's all good. I'm glad you stick up for not liking her. It's your opinion.
I just love Janelle. She's not perfect by all means, but for all the reasons I listed, plus more and gut reactions to her, I just really love her. My favourite contestant this season, besides maybe pre-voted-out-then-voted-back-in Kaysar (aka. the smart Kaysar before he left the house and then returned).
PEACE, Mike.

Where has Ivette gone these past few days? I don't know what she's saying anymore!
Is Janelle a bit snobbish? Yes. Does she hide it? No. I'd take self-aware snob over hypocritical holier than thou moralists any day of the week.
At this point with two distinct sides due to Eric's Jim Jones like influence early in the game, I can easily see James winning it. While the Jedi seem aware of his floating status, it seems to be the best way to win. He's like the Jun of this season, only not as funny.

I agree. It's almost like wathing an accident in slow motion: you know how it's gonna happen, yet you can do nothing. He's somehow managed to position himself almost perfectly in the house.
And yes, he's not as fun to watch as Jun. Jun at least had a sense of humor in the diary room. James just comes off as a brooding prick.

I like Janelle a lot. Even when she's not drunk, she talks shit to peoples face. She wasn't drunk when she was calling Jen a clown. They didnt' even show half of the kicthen fight on the show when Kaysar was demanding to know what happened. Janelle, sober as can be, flipped out on Jen right there and went off on her, also telling everyone how it was her and April's idea to evict Ivette. And is she snob? Sure, but she admits to it and that's it. Nothing wrong with that. The only reason they call her a slut in the house is because she works at the Playboy Mansion serving drinks. That's their shallowness to assume that she's a slut because of her occupation. And, honestly, I really do like Janelle because she has told the least lies out of everyone in the house. April et al keep saying she's told so many lies, but they won't say what lies. They just keep saying, "You know what you've lied about." They know she hasn't lied. Janelle has been straightforward the whole game. The ONLY thing they can accuse her of lying of is pretending she didn't know Ashlea -- but they all had partners. And as soon as Ashlea left, she told everyone her and Ashlea were partners.
And like Cotton (I think) said, James has perfectly positioned himself in this game. He has to just sit back and chill now while the groups battle it out -- then once it gets down to a few on each side, he needs to seize control of HoH and start cutting some deals. If he plays his cards right, we might see him in final two. I wouldn't mind if he ended up there.. he would deserve it. He, unfortunately, has played an awesome game.

Oh god, my heart was in my mouth waiting for the results of the HOH competition. That was AWESOME! So, so good. Right now, I don't give a shit who goes home from the Friendship of Losers, because I hate them all. Maggie and Jen just happen to be two prime choices for eviction. Awesome work, Janelle!

My thoughts exactly. I am beginning to think that him sitting on the couch after Kaysar got put up in place of Rachel wasn't due to shock, it was due to him realizing that he is in a great position for gettting through til the end. As long as the fighting continues, strategy will go out the window. I can't remember what houseguest said it, but one of them said we will just get James later. They said that about Dr. Will too!!!!
