Terrific list Amos. Hopefully Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom is still to come! I'd hate for Last Crusade to be your highest placed Indy flick.

Well, it's in my top 10 list of films-not-in-my-top-100 (no. 107 overall) but it's really a movie I "really like" more than "will elope with if only it was human. And female. Though maybe I'll make an exception."

Temple = fun flick, where as Raiders kicked ass and Crusade kicked ass AND had James Bond in it.

When you see Once Upon A Time In America (because *Uses Jedi Mind Trick* YOU WILL SEE IT SOON), make sure its the 220minute version because anything less is a raping of Leone's vision (and even the 220min one is missing 40mins of what he calls essential footage that never made it off the cutting room floor).

That was your weakest set of 10! I very much disliked Magnolia and American Beauty.

But, overall you had a very solid list with only a few missteps! :2up:

True. Scented toilet paper makes me sad. I just don't get why they'd waste the special scent on TP when there are plenty of starving children that could use the extra special scent much more.

The problem is that the starving children would eat each other if they smelled too good. Would somebody PLEASE think of the children?! [-X

That actually raises an interesting point: If these "starving" children are as "starving" as they are made out to be, why is it that you never see them eating each other? If I forget to pack my lunch I'll eat a co-worker or six, yet these "starving" children seem a bit too hunger-satisfied to me to really be starving. I think it's just a scam to get aid money and spend it on tickets to Jennifer Lopez movies - afterall, MIL couldn't have possibly made $23m from the general public.

That pretty much kills my plans to market a BBQ chicken scented perfume to third world countries.

But seriously, you make some excellent point about the child eating. It's an educated solution to solve world hunger that simply hasn't been explored yet. The first Matrix touched on it a little bit, but I would like to see this pursued more. If this works, my perfume plans may be back on...

1. The Untouchables (1987) - Just a great movie, featuring a great death scene by my favorite actor.
2. Tombstone (1993) - The best western ever made!
3. Mystic River (2003) - Gripping, edge of your seat thrills.
4. Mean Girls (2004) - Never thought I'd love this as much as I did.
5. Die Hard (1988) - The prototypical action film that should be the blueprint for how to do it.
6. Superman (1978) - This movie has lost none of it's magic, even in this era of new special FX.
7. The Maltese Falcon (1941) - Cloak and dagger cinema at it's best!
8. The Usual Suspects (1995) - The twist wasn't something that I saw coming at all.
9. Dr. No (1961) - The first, and my favorite, James Bond film.
10. The Planet of the Apes (1968) - Anybody that hasn't seen this needs peed on by a drunk!!!

I've only seen Mean Girls and Mystic River out of this batch... #-o I'm not surprised, haven't watched many older films, yet.
Mean Girls is really enjoyable, loved it. Mystic River was good but not quite excellent like M$B.

Mean Girls is fantastic. The Usual Suspects is in my top 5. And, I love the Maltese Falcon (which also happens to be one of my favorite books)
