Casino - without a doubt an A

Man you gotta love all Joe Pesci performances :gun: , the man was born for this type of movies.Once again Martin Scorsese delivers a masterpiece.

I'm not quite sure how to grade this one. First of all, I thought the majority of the film was really stupid. When somebody died, I thought it was funny as hell. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be but it was. Like the guy that got split in half, that whole scene was hilarious! I was watching the movie with my brother and my grandparents and none of us really liked it. It was a nice time waster but nothing I'd ever call brilliant or ever watch again. I'm not sure why people call it a horror classic, I wouldn't call it a horror film at all. Also, I really hated the ending. Did they ever make a sequel? I know it's almost impossible to make a sequel to it but a lot of times for horror movies they will anyways.

Bad Boys II- C+

It's very mediocre. The plot is retarded. It has great action though, and that really saves it from being a D or F. The dialogue is really stupid too. Some of it is funny, but some of it is also really lame. For what it is worth its a mindless action flick, that is entertaining, but very forgettable.

I think the combination of Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn is what makes this work. I don't think i could stick Goldie Hawn on her own, i think Mel Gibson says alot of the things in Bird on a ire that i would have said, too, which makes it better, as i find Hawn annoying and he rips it out of her.

Also, by any chance is your name related to Goldie Hawn?

I wanna see Mr and Mrs Smith again.

To Die For- A

Fantastic movie. Loved the whole style of it. And it's a crime that Kidman was robbed for the Oscar (I can't believe she didn't even get nominated). Her best performance to date.

im going with the minority, The visuals for sure were outstanding the acting and cast were great too, but the story was sooOooOOOOoo boring and ridiculously stupid..... *sigh* so unrealistic, i know its a comic but still, it didnt work for me

CONSTANTINE - 6/10 (B-)

It was a 7/10 for a while but gets to be too overlong and not as interesting after a while. The last half an hour or so just drags. And Reeve's delivery of his last line in the movie (the voice-over) was really cheesy.


This morning:

ICE PRINCESS - 8/10 (A-)

I'm almost embarrassed but it was a great family movie and Trachtenberg is so immensely likeable and charming. Sometimes you just gotta take off your nitpicky and judgmental critic gear and reward a movie for being so good at what it does and so enjoyable. For me this was one of those movies. A real surprise. I loved it!

And nobody has the right to tease me about this until they see it themselves :razz:.

I'm in the minority as well thinking Sin City is way overrated. The visuals and style and all the countless monologues are cool for maybe 30 minutes then it started to get boring. Three main stories intermingled and too many characters resulted in me not really connecting to anything or anyone and hence losing interest. *shrugs*

I hated it too. Well, I thought it was decent and the visuals were ok at first but they got hokey towards the end.

I was disappointed in Sin City at first but it got better and better and I gave it an 8/10 (B+). I ended up loving it. But the style is mostly why it's so cool.

Eh, yeah it was all style and no story. That was my problem with it.
