Hmm, you curiously enough dismissed elektra before seeing it. Is anyone surprised you hated it?

I still feel people slaughtering Elektra are just flowing with the crowd control. Catwoman sucked yes. But Catwoman was so into this idea of being over the top and stupidly cheesy it gave up on every other element.
Elektra was technically quite impressive; its direction was problematic sometimes and its script could have used some work, but no moreso than films like Fantastic Four et all. It really wasn't horrible at all; and was far superior to Daredevil.

Anyway - easily the worst film of the year was Hide and Seek which was seriously fucking retarded. It felt like a really awful TV movie

Basically, you have a boner for Garner.

Well, I was anticipating Elektra big time, and hated it. There's no conspiracy, Michael. The movie wasn't good.

Okay Zingaling, i'll give you Catwoman, that was cheesy fun. But at least it was fun. But Get Carter is in a class if it's own, its one of those films that rarely come along with your idol in them when he is just a bad ass motha fucka'. There wasn't a terrible lot voilence in it to be honest, which is why it works!!!!!

40 Year Old Virgin though? oh my god.

The box-office performance, reviews, and user ratings are enough to show that Get Carter is simply not a good movie.

I'd pick The 40-Year Old Virgin over another Sylvester Stallone movie anyday of the week.

Opinion over rules that anyday.

---

You'd pick that over a Sly film because you are an immature moviegoer. You prefer the summer blockbuster type movie more than the character-driven type masterpieces, so i expect you to prefer The 40 Year Old Virgin over a Sly film.

Hit the nail on the head Algren. Michael, I said that I'd probably add Elektra at that point because my older brother saw it at an advance showing and gave it an F, and talked about how terrible it was. Wouldn't ya know, it really was that awful. The reviews trashed Elektra before everyone knew it would be the asstrocious incoherent mess of a movie it was. Where Catwoman was entertainingly bad, Elektra was just boring and awful, one of those few movies that manages to be incredibly stupid and at the same time have no energy or interesting action scenes. Maybe the acting sucked, but as far as cinematography, editing, plot and story telling went, Catwoman was far superior to Elektra, and everyone agrees. Face it Michael, you love a movie which is terrible, and you are a terrible person because of it. \:D/
