EVA GREEN, MICHAEL PITT AND LOUIS GARREL,
THE NEW FACES AT EMPORIO ARMANI, STILL DREAMING
Eva Green, Michael Pitt and Louis Garrel, who starred in the Bernardo Bertolucci film, ‘The Dreamers’, are the new faces of Emporio Armani A/W 2004/05.

“For next season's Emporio Armani men's and women's collections I took my inspiration from ‘city glamour’: modern, cosmopolitan and individual. Whilst I was casting for the campaign, I recalled the strong acting of Eva, Michael and Louis in the Bertolucci film. Although they are still at their debut, these three actors have already developed a special intensity and the alchemy between them is incredibly powerful. All this is quite clearly perceived in the new Emporio Armani campaign”, says Giorgio Armani.

Vincent Peters shot the images for the campaign in Paris, the city of ‘The Dreamers’. The media project includes fashion and lifestyle magazines, daily papers and posters. The first images appeared in July.

In the new campaign images Eva Green wears models EA 9138/s, EA 9145/s and EA 9131 while Michael Pitt wears models EA 9153/s and EA 9123.

Presented at the 2003 Venice Film Festival, the film was set against the backdrop of the turbulent political scene that existed in France in May 1968 and tells the story of three students and their journey to awareness as they play off against one another and see how far they can go.

Well I went to the site and its surprisingly well designed....but very crisp and glossy. Maybe this will do more for those stars than The Dreamers did? I didn't even bother watching that movie it looed so obnoxious. Bertollucci has officially gone off the deep end, but apparently can still make unknown's careers. Well I have to give it to Armani actually for picking up the unnown stars, here we have a tendency to wait 'til they are big and then give them promos. Its a bad system because once a star is already big, all those adds lead to backlash, while this kind of publicity for those relatively unknown youths will just help.

I have to say the brunette is very good looking, but the two years since the film have made all of them look a decade older.

I actually didn't think THE DREAMERS looked very good from the trailer but ended up loving the movie (8/10 or A-) so you might be surprised by it. Who knows, it's not for everyone.

I'm not a The Dreamers fan. I was actually expecting something shocking and was relatively disappointed about how mediocre it is.

I think, if you really dig the history of cinema, especially French cinema, then you will enjoy the film. In generally, I found the making-of piece on the DVD to be more engaging and educational about this period of French history, far more engaging than the pedestrian sex story we were exposed to.

Michael Pitt was FAR more engaging in Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Yeah, Dreamers isn't a very good movie. Not by a long shot. Pitt, however, IS a good actor, so I'm glad he's getting press from this. Cool.

Oh, and that's a sleek website to go with some verrrry nice couture.
