Whatever guys. Fangirl is sooooo mine. You guys don't even know how fanboyish a lady I am. My screenname,,,the fact that I have bootlegs (Cassanova, Voice of the Moon) of his last two movies that were never released in this country, and had to get through a pyschologist who went to Italy, got them in european formatting, gave them to an mutual aquaintence of ours who worked in a high-tech media lab that could transfer them to u.s. readable vhs, and then get them to me. Plus the fact I've seen LDV a whopping five times big screen and Have also seen La Strada, I Vitelloni, The Clowns, Nights of Cabiria (twice), 8 1/2 (3 times), Juliet of the Spirits, Satyricon, Ginger and Fred, and Intervista all on the big screen. All the others, and there are plenty (Variety Lights, Amarcord, Orchestra Rehearsal, And the Ship Sails On, his Poe sketch in Histoires Extraordinaires, City of Women, Roma, and Open City which he did screenplay for), I've had to settle for watching at home. That takes some work. LOTR, Matrix fanboys PFFFFT. You guys had it easy, what, you each had to watch a whole three movies? What did you have to do? Go onto fandango a buy a ticket a few days in advance when it opened in the theatre down the street. Psha....you guys had it easy. I trucked around two different states and a foreign country over four years keeping a vigilante watch out in local film archive calenders in order to get my viewings in.
Welcome to who is clearly the most obsessive fan ever. In fact, I just watched 8 1/2 last night on the computer here before going out.
Who's willing to take me on in the movie obsessed freak category after hearing that huh? Y'all are so going down.

Dogville isn't a poster, or I would vote for him/her. Sorry Rod.

Torrino, the co-host has been added to the organization list. I am the Big Boss with the whip and while I sit and relax he does the dirty work, so be nice to him.

Okay, things we need to decide on:
1. Shall we split up the Best Debator Category in Best Political Debator/Contributor and Best Casual Debator (or whatever the name will end up being)?
2. Shall we get rid of "Best Newcomer" as there are barely any newcomers here at the site?
3. Shall we replace "Weirdest Poster" with "Most Mysterious Poster"?
4. Shall TonyMontana's naked photos be allowed to post at the ceremony?

Well, I would approve that, but as someone pointed out a while ago, these awards are supposed to honor positive qualities of the posters, not the negative ones.
However, I have thought about doing WOKJ Poster Razzies too a while ago

Thank You. I'm going to disregard the second half of that statement and assume you meant so say I am the biggest obsessive fangirl ever and am going to take your ass down in Round 3 of Back-n-Forth when we discuss yet another director whose every film I have seen multiple times. You...and I...Dead Man...I give you two week to prepare for my fangirl-ish obsession with Jim Jarmusch. We will then proceed to do Keislowski's Color Trilogy, Decalogue, and Le Double Vie discussion in which I will attack slowreader if I didn't already scare him off after jumping on his Blue and White comments a few weeks back....See where I am going with this *World* Members? There is clearly only one true fanboy on this site, and it just so happens to be a girl, but that's a minor complication we'll deal with at a later date. Y'all just don't realize because I spend all day hiding in the Foreign/Indie section waiting to defend my love of Down by Law.
Everyone vote my obsessive tendencies and comfort yourselves in knowing, in the scheme of things, you're normal.
As to the suggestions. I still don't know what to do about debator, think newcomer should be reserved for non ex-BOMers so that they have a change to be recognized within a space that still has mostly old connections. While I relish the idea of Tony in a thong, I don't think its a good idea unless some of the pics involve champaign and whipped cream.
Mysterious should replace weird, and is not the same thing. Mysterious has a sort of *Romanticizing* quality to it. Very enigmatic. Weird just sounds like a diss. Unless it goes to Zingy, because that guy somehow makes everything sound hilarious and cute. Stay you.
-Dolce
