Post Night Watch Trailer.
http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox_searc ... large.html

If you head on over to the link above you can check out the trailer for Fox Searchlight's Night Watch, which they're dubbing "The first chapter in an epic horror trilogy"- that's some bold words! Timor Bekmambetov's movie, which hits theaters July 29th, focuses on the titular band of superhuman "Others" devoted to protecting the world from dark forces, and an ancient prophecy of a violent war between the two sides that threatens to come true in modern-day Moscow.

Ooooh i watched this trailer, and i jumped out of my seat at one point! hehe.

This looks quite decent, shame it's only in "Select Cities" :(

Yes, saw it today, and it included First chapter of an epic horror trilogy as well. I wonder if that means it'll have a closed ending, and could be a complete stand alone, or if its going to be LOTR style and just be one story cut up over three films. I am not familiar with the director at all, I checked during the trailer, and I wonder if anyone knows anything about his previous works?

This movie looks a bit surreal. It is not going to be that popular here, but I'm glad its a new type of film for exposure here. I don't think I've seen action movies out of Russia before.

Honestly, this looked a bit much for me, but I have months to build up the courage and desire to see it. Right now it really does feel a bit like Constantine, only darker and probably more austere. That will work to its benefit, but if the music is anything like that in the trailer its going to be a case study in how to kill an image with sound. It sounded like something a generic music lab would mix for a *darker* nike commercial.

mods, this might get a bit more loving in a different forum.

It looks like a mix between Jacob's Ladder, The Underworld, and Nightbreed. Oh and the budget for the movie was only 4.5 million. Dang it looked like it would of cost at least 20 million to make. I guess they paid the russians in toilet paper

I dunno yet, I'm not entirely sold. Some of it looked really damn nice, and some of it was pretty weird (and not in a good way). Yeah, I jumped at that one part too, something that never happens.

I am VERY impressed by this. Some of the action looks incredible, and the movie as a whole seemed to have a large production budget. It looks like my typ 'o film!

I can't wait to see it \:D/

The trailer was...different.

While I am anticipating it, I'm not certain I will like it per se. It looks very much like mix between Blade, Underworld, Constantine and a indie thriller. The music was interesting, but I agree that it sounds cheap.

Overall I'll try to see it when I can, but I'm not expecting this to be up to the "epic" level that they proclaim.

I own it on DVD from Russia, but have to see it yet. My friends who have seen it told me that it's totally overhyped and rather mediocre.

I have yet to see the trailer but think it sounds very cool and have been interested in it for a while. Werewolves rule! And this one will have all kinds of creatures in it. Should be really stylish. The other ones are supposed to have higher budgets.

I've read the third film in this trilogy will be in English. Anyone else heard this?

Poster is up at my theater, usually that is a good idea that they are planning on showing it. I can only remember a few releases that they didn't, most being limited releases that didn't expand well. My Summer of Love was one of those.

That trailer looked amazing! They did a commendable job considering their budget was only $4 million dollars. Just by looking at the trailer I was expecting to find a budget of $40 million, very impressive job. I'm definitely anticipating this, it looks really different from what I'm used to, but I like how it looks. It looks very unique, and creative.
