This movie is hilarious, I mean laugh loud hilarious. Vince Vaughn and the gang are fun. There are many zany characters. Jane Seymore's character is strange and not properly utilized. There are spots where it slows down. A raunchy comedy with a touch of sentimentality.

A- ( more of B+ movie. I laughed hard so many times, I had to give it an A-)

Yeah, it's definitely uneven, but nonetheless very funny at times. The ending was unrealistic nearly to the point of being insulting, but the film is full of hillarious dialogue, with several scenes being gut busters. However, the uneven slow moments and slew of characters that are crazy for no particular reason also brought it down. It was very funny, but nothing ground breaking. B

The movie was great, though as everyone and their mother have already noted it was a bit uneven. What upsets me, though, is that it didn't HAVE to be uneven. Unlike some other comedies, it actually had a lot going for itcorniness, and could've easily resolved in a "happy ending" without the corniness.

A-

I agree. I think they were trying to model it after There's Something about Mary.

Spoilers:

They could have done without Owen Wilson's depressed antics.

I must be the only one that thinks that it didn't slow down. I thought it held a steady pace throughout the whole film, I was impressed. I thought it was much better than the overrated THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY.

Wedding Crashers might as well be the best laugh I have this summer. The first part and the entire set-up was not altogther funny but then it delved right in there. I was with a friend and the two of us laugh at everything, EVERYthing! So you can imagine how much we were cracking up. We just couldn't stop at some point.
I agree with Libs that there were some moments or sequence of unfunny material and I also didn't think they had to go so cliche and serious at the end, but it was still a riot! The supporting cast was hillarious; I cracked up everytime I saw Todd. Walken was also good, but not really great since the role didn't ask for much.
I don't know why Rachel McAdams is not advertised in the tv spots or posters because she would be a pretty good plus to have in a movie now, especially one like this in terms of box-office. O well, she was great... turning into a real American Sweatheart and I love that she chose this movie. I did not know Bradley Cooper, one of my favorite TV actors, was going to be in this and he played well as the big jerk.

But the one reason why I think this film succeeds above its flaws is because, to me at least, it ran smoothly as a good comedy. IT didn't have that cheasiness that so many films have (including the ultimate Frat-Pack, Anchorman). It was refreshing to watch, not only because it was extremely hot outside, but because we weren't watching something made for money, it was really made for laughs and there was some talent behind it.

I'd give it a B+ but I rated it an A in the poll!

Funniest freakin' movie of '05. From the opening scene to the final, the movie just brings non-stop hilarious scenes. Vince Vaughn is quickly becoming one of the funniest guys in movies. His performance was just great. Owen Wilson was also pretty good, though not as funny as Vaughn. And, of course, Rachel McAdams looked as cute as ever, and gave a decent performance too. But, don't be fooled. This is just one, flat-out, dirty chick flick. And, the cameo is *brillant* (and I should mention that the audience did clap at it...). The ending was a bit cheesy, but doesn't bring the movie down. It doesn't quite meet Anchorman and Old School in terms of a comedy, but comes pretty damn close. A-

I don't understand how knowing the cameo will spoil it for someone.

Because it's supposed to be a suprise...?

He has a lot of screen time, actually (at least 5 minutes). If the filmmakers didn't want it to be a suprise, New Line definitely would've marketed the movie with his name on it.

That's nice to know.

It still doesn't give you enough of a reason to ruin the suprise for others.

It's not like I was going to ruin it for people, I was just curious why it would matter.

Great, great movie. Laughed my ass off. I would give it an A-, but it dragged way too much towards the end. A good five minutes could have been chopped. Wasn't a huge fan of Will Farrel's cameo, but it was okay.

Everythin else was just super. B+

PS, Ross- I didn't find that gay character offensive. I mean, as in stereotypical. He was interesting, and pretty funny. I don't think that many people laughed at the thought of him being homosexual, but rather the obnoxious grandmother. And besides that, his other scenes didn't really bother me as being hateful. Everyone got stereotyped. It was pretty damn hilarious, too. \:D/

I have seen the film twice now, but tonight's viewing got me to post about the film.

First of all, let me just say I love the film. It does slightly drag at the end with the 2 hour running length, but the film is consistently funny throughout. It's the funniest of the year, and the funniest film since last year's Anchorman. It's also probably the most quotable film since Anchorman. "MOM, THE MEATLOAF! Fuck."

That saying, let me get into the real reason why I am posting about the film. I have seen the film twice now with packed crowds. The first crowd loved the film and laughed throughout. However, the crowd I saw with tonight had the energy ten times the first crowd. Now, I have sometimes seen some clapping at the end of the film, but never have I seen clapping towards jokes. Not just clapping, but cheering. For instance, when Vince Vaughn says, "Let's go kill some birds, I'm psyched.", that got cheers. When Will Ferrell came in, that got very loud cheers. And of course once the film was over........cheering. I can't say I blame them. This is a very funny film, and the crowd enhanced it much more.

I originally graded the film an A-, but this time around it just seemed to work much better (Not just because of the crowd).

A

Ok Torrino - just another reason you are a bad MOD.

No surprise that you or another MOD takes a hit at Goldie when I did nothing wrong.

*Everyone's A Critic
This is the place to give us YOUR reviews on movies you have seen. Discussion of movies is welcomed, but please do not comment if you have not previously seen the movie! Spoilers are ALLOWED inside.

Take to Eagle if you have a problem with this.

* Anyway, too bad you read incorrectly into my post, anyway who has seen the movie knows the joke that I am playing out. I didn't even place it like a spoiler.

* Surprised that you didn't comment on other people's post as others posted things that they wouldn't know if they hadn't seen the movie - thus a spoiler.

* Also as I said and I think MOD Z has agreed.

The MOvie section is suppose to be spoiler free. Here people are analyzing the movie so spoilers should be expected.

* Also speaking about spoilers, maybe you should check out the crowd report section - people sometimes in their posts / reviews say spoilers - which shouldn't happened in the crowd section.

* And lastly instead of deleting it - you could have used you MOD powers to whiten it out - which I think have I seen some do - maybe Libs was one. But No.

Buit I think you more wanted to bash me, incorrectly of course, than make the situation better.

ETC.

I saw it for a second time last night with my wife and we both laughed our rear ends off. The audience ate it up as well. It was funnier the second time than the first.
