Those music vids have to be seen to be believed.

I've seen all 5 chapters since my sister was a making of or something, and I swear, he thinks this is the best shit out there.
And I have to say the execution of the last one is just way too out there and.... lame.

And... there is supposedly going to be another 5 chapters (chapters 6-10), just what I needed.

Not only is the song unbelivably corny and awful
Hes like "Theres a mystery goin on and im going to solve it!"

but the plot, video and acting is just....insulting

If this shit sells then no one in history deserves to insult britney spears ever again.

The transition from video 1 to 2 is fucking awful. But the end of video two is unbelivably awful.

Modern RAP/RNB music is NOT DEEP. the sooner rnb artists realise the chance of anyone taking them seriously is minimal the better.

But you can't knock him for trying something different Most of the comments some of you have shared are just closed minded "Pop" kiddie music banter. This was a great promotional tool for his new album. And it looks like it worked to perfection because the album sales are through the roof in the first week. People are clamoring for chapters 6-10. All this from a guy with big legal problems still on the back burner.

Usher already did the short movie idea. It was also crap.

He looks like a tool throughout it - his lyrics are the worst ive heard i think...ever [and ive heard a lot of AQUA] the videos are fucking horribly made, its just a terrible, terrible song and execution and R.Kelly should put his ego on a nozzle before unleashing a helldemon of bullcrap on the world ever again.

I find his new album stupid because of the chapter songs. Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 4, Chapter 5. It's like a book, I hate it!

im Listening to R. Kelly's Album in itunes (just 30 sec. of each song), some of is songs are really stupid, well the lyrics are awful, Like:

If Spears ever released anything that abysmal now id so not ever listen to her music again.

Soda Pop...ahah..I bought the Pokemon the First Movie soundtrack...and it was on there..along with this Christina Aguilera song..i loved it.

Oh please, I despise 85% of modern pop music. For God's sake, look at my top 3 in albums for 2005: how mainstream is any of the music on any of those albums?

And him experimenting with "different" sorts of music doesn't make it any good.

People are investing in what they call "real music" ie manufactured indie bands given a grungy degloss.
Americans are investing in what they call "hip music" ie manufactured rnb artists given a bling bling supergloss.
Pop music is manufactured pop artists given a sexy cleargloss.

Its the same bloody game but everyones too stoopid to see that the samey, dull ass music that everyones listening to is basically only there to give them some street cred. If i have to endure another coldplay song which sounds exactly the same as every other coldplay song i will shoot my left testicle off.

Even more irritating is this breed of image concious music "fan" branching into real artists as their fandom - never actually being a real fan - but the hip undiscovered factor associated is enough to provide them with satisfaction.

Why cant people just like music for what it is rather than insisting on associating themselves with pretentious labels?

you lost big time. Please go listen to Alicia Keys, John Legend, Common, Nas, Lyfe Jennings and all the other credible artists in the genre. Britney does not have an ounce of their talent.

have you ever heard an R Kelly album? ALL OF THEM are basically sex and drugs. You say it like its a new thing.


Im not sticking up for Kelly, this album is terrible, especially compared to TP2 and Chocolate Factory. But the fact remains that he is a legend, he is more talented than Britney (not surprised she got Kelly to produce for her), and he has classic albums under his belt.

Everything.
Itallian, French, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Classical, Latin, Electric, RnB
The lot.

Alicia Keyes and so forth are all SOUL MUSIC, Legend. They've got heavy elements of RnB there; but RnB is basically about the rythmn. Perhaps im bleeding R.Kelly too far into RnB; hes more rap really.

I think what is extremely unfair is the idiotic "More Talented than Britney" thing; people use it ...A LOT.
Suffice to say that Britney Spears has written better songs than R.Kelly all on her lonesome - but shes a pop star. Her voice is actually pretty good under those layers of processing; shes an extrodinarily talented entertainer and her music is all pop perfection. Britney Spears is beyond talented at what she does. If people choose not to see her as "real music" just because shes in a low-prestiege genre then thats their beef. Not hers.

But all of those millions of albums aren't just selling because shes shit. People like her for reasons. And no matter what people say; no one buys an album just because a pop star is sexy.
