I still think we'll only see one 40 million opener next week, not two.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith is anything, but a lock. Jolie is really box-office poison and Pitt isn't a huge draw in the States either.

I'd call The Longest Yard a lock, if it wasn't going up against ROTS' 2nd weekend AND the Madagascar opening.

Your mum opens higher than Charlie and the Chocolate Factory!!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory will not only break $40 million with ease, but also cure cancer, bring peace to the middle east and quite possibly transcend speed and time.

But what will you think of it Snrub? What if it somehow did all these things, and you didn't like it?

That's good to hear. They should have released this movie years ago, then. #-o

And, based on the latest trailer, I think Charlie and the Chocolate Factory can open close to $50 million.

We still could beat last year. I'm hoping for Stealth and The Island to get it, but we might just tie last year with 13.

The only 2 locks this year is Star Wars and Harry Potter 4. I don't know why you people put Ring 2 or XXX2 and other movies as "locks."

Ah-ha I think great chance should include Fun With Dick & Jane, the Jim Carrey machine. He hasn't done one of these jumpy antics movies since Bruce Almighty and that got 67/85 mil 5 day, I'd say it can at least undercut a bit under that. Also I'm still probably the only one thats saying this but Valiant has a 20% chance at least, I'd say higher. Its the producers of Shrek people, these CGI animation flicks seem to do pretty darn well. The marketing has to step up a bit though, get McDonalds, I've seen trailers but they need more posters and such. Could be Shark Tale in the air numbers easily.
