Well that was all a little to easy for Federer, but then there wasn't really anything Andy could do. Congratulations Roger!

Federer is just too good. He'll be the #1 player for quite some time. By the end of his career I expect him to get the grand slam and surpass Samprass' career slam total.

Federer just played insanely well the first two sets, making something like 3 errors between the two sets. If he plays like that there's nothing one can do. Andy lost the match in straights as soon as he couldn't consolidate the break in the second set, that really would have deflated him, before then I thought maybe a 4th set would happen, but nope. Federer's too good on grass these days, I think Borg's record could be in jeopardy if Federer stays healthy.
The Ladies final was good too, and I wasn't really rooting for anyone in particular, but as soon as Davenport didn't get that overrule on a ball that wasn't even in the NBC camera view I was pulling for her. Also because she's 29 and her chances to win majors are even fewer than Venus's. But it was a great match, and there were some really entertaining points and I did like Venus's reaction after she won and hope this means a return to form so she won't bow out of majors in the first week anymore.
3 Majors in, and 2 wins from the Williams' and one from a Belgian, it's like we went back in time 24 months.

thanks . i'll probably wont go very far, i love to do tournaments and such but i dont have the time to be a top notch player, i like too call myself a keeping in shape player ,if you know what i mean.
well i just dont like him because he seems the arrogant type when he's playing, thats the perception i got.i could be wrong .

Andy Murray
Remember that name, 3rd round at wimbledon and now wins his first challenger to take him from 205 to 164, the 18 year olds highest ranking to date.
Last year his ranking was in the 500's, and he looks set to break the top 100 and beyond by the end of the year.
He now has a wildcard entry into the RCA Championships in Indianapolis, lets see how well he does against the big boys.

On his birthday no less. The people at the USA network and at CBS must be very, very depressed. Who are they going to artificially praise now. I do feel bad for Andy though, he seems like a pretty cool guy, and to lose first round at your home slam...guess he won't have to worry about Federer though.

He got a tough first round draw. The guy was 68th seed in the world, and played way better than his ranking would suggest.

I didnt see the match, but judging by the numbers it just seemed like the other guy played just out of his mind.
Roddick only had 15 unforced errors.

He threw up? I only caught the last set, he didn't look good for the first few games, but Pavel went nuts at the ref when he over-ruled a call. "Noh, you dont foking over-rule" Ah it was funny.
Wow cant believe he's the only brit left in the tourny. Henman is terrible.
