Post Some Problems with the site
After the server rollover my problems with the site have actually increased.

I usually use two internetbrowsers, either the Internet Explorer (more often) or Opera (less often). When I go to WOKJ with my Internet Explorer and click on any threads the threads never load completely, but only down to a certain post and after that it always says:

"Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in c:\domains\worldofkj.com\wwwroot\forum\includes\template.php(127) : eval()'d code on line 118"

And I can't see any other posts in the thread. So basically it only shows the posts that load within 30 seconds and all others, it doesn't show. Furthermore, when I click on "Reply" to reply in any thread, my Internet Explorer Browser basically shuts down.

With my Opera Browser, I can reply to the threads, BUT the threads still don't load fully and I get the message:

"Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in c:\domains\worldofkj.com\wwwroot\forum\includes\template.php(127) : eval()'d code on line 118"

This tends to get annoying because even though I manage to make posts I cannot read all posts of the thread and cannot edit my own posts as they don't load. I know, you guys are working hard on it and I appreciate it very much and I thank you. Maybe you can clear this up, though.

Thank you in advance.

This happens to me to Lecter. Infact, it's been happening for a while. Until the problem gets resolved, I always just hit the "Back" button, and retry to post or load a page, and it usually works. Try that for now.

I did many times and it didn't work. :(
BTW, was it you who sent me another PM ysterday? I know that someone did, but since the boards were locked I couldn't check it and now that they are unlocked, it apparently got deleted.

I will be looking into this in the very near future.

Please check back with this thread so that you will know when I attempt to fix it, and thus can let me know if it works or not.

I will make another post after I think I have it fixed.

If you get any DIFFERENT error messages please post them here.

Thanks for your guys help.

I have the same Problems like Lecter.
The site works better with Mozilla Firefox but still there i have sometimes those error messages.
The strange thing is that not all Threats seems to have the problem. Some work absolutely good but for example in the weekend esstimate from this weekend I have always problems.

I am having all sorts of problems too. Half the threads never bother to load for me. I have to try several times more often than not :(

It is getting impossible to post. I tried out all different browsers (IE, Opera, Mozilla) and nothing helps. The pages in all threads only load up to a certain posts and then I get the error message which is always:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in c:\domains\worldofkj.com\wwwroot\forum\includes\template.php(127) : eval()'d code on line 118
(the number always varies, sometimes 36, sometimes 310 etc.)

This is very upsetting as I can't even edit or see my own posts sometimes :(
At least Mozilla lets me reply in contrast to IE and Opera. Those don't even let me reply anymore at all, I just get the error message instead of the reply window or the browser crashes.

Has anyone noticed improved speed today and no more errors?

I tried a few diagnostics and SQL queries to see if I could fix it. It seems to be working better for me, how about you guys?

Nope. :(

Still slow as hell, and got an error just under your post, so most likely Lecter, me and some other wont even see it.

Odd,

It is going fast as lightning for me. I wonder if it is because I am on Mozilla? Not IE.

Let me test with IE.

I've seen improvements today but still slower than how it used to be.

I'm seeing a better speed on IE right now than I did my mozilla .. mozilla kept running into 30 second timeouts ......for some reason, i cant use IE to access this site from home ....

Nothing better for me. Mozilla and Opera both get these 30 seconds error messages (which tend to get more and more annoying, hehe) and IE lets the browser crash WHENEVER I clock on "Reply".

:(

I have contacted my host and have come away believeing there are a few things at play in all of this:

I think that the timeout errors should dissapear today or tomorrow. They seem to be related to the propagation (DNS switch, changing servers) and that is a 24-144 hour process. The internet is a vast place, and this site switched from one IP to another.

Well in connecting to this site you connect through various different routers or hops. The more hops the slower the load time (overseas). Basically if one of those routers that you are hoping through has not yet updated you will time out because it is pointing you to an incorrect IP.

In a few days the routers all across the world will all be updated, and we should return to normal.

There are also a few bugs with regards to PM's that I am looking into. But everyone getting Fatal Error's that Time out there should hopefully be no need to worry, it seems to have to do with the propagation.

Also the site is doing much better for me today, and working muchhhh quicker. Hopefully all of you will see the same results in the coming days.

I clicked on this thread to read Eagle's latest reply, but all I saw was:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in c:\domains\worldofkj.com\wwwroot\forum\includes\template.php(127) : eval()'d code on line 146

instead of his post

  [/b]

Lecter I just did a trace to your connection ...

You have so many different hop's on the way to getting here. I am guessing you live overseas?

One of the routers you are going through most likly has not updated its DNS yet.

Hopefully it will happen soon.

I'm getting the errors a WHOLE lot lately too. Heck, I got them in this thread, too.

It's pretty much the things Lecter posted up in bold, the number just differs from time to time. Really annoying, it happens all the time in threads with a lot of replies. I have to click the Post Reply button to see every message.

Things are working a little better for me, moreso than they did a fewdays ago, but not as good as they were before we switched servers.

Side note~ DOLCE, is having many problems, and cant even seem to get into some threads...they wont load all the way, and she her PM'sd say something along the lines of Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in c:\domains\worldofkj.com\wwwroot\forum\includes\template.php(127) : eval()'d code on line 440
I hope this even gets through to you.

@lovemerox

I have exactly the same problems as Dolce and there are plenty of posters with these problems.

@Korrgan

Yeah, same here. I have to click on "Reply" in order to read the last posts, hehe.

Lecter....How come it works OK for some people, and not for others?
