You and my parents won't shut up about it, and while I tend to sometimes distrust them because they lack critical analysis when it comes to anything *new* or *foreign,* you seem to be up on your snuff when it comes to animation, so I'll take your word on it and let you know what I thought after I watch it. And yes, I've heard of Kiki, the cover of it has her on a broomstick right? I know there is also Castle in the Sky, or something like that.

I understand if you found it slow-moving...I guess its not to everyone's taste. I think the reason I liked it so much were the characters. All of them were so fascinating and the lead character in particular was a real hard-boiled antihero. The scene in which he beats his former girlfriend was shocking...I mean this is the guy we're supposed to identify with! I just found that amoralness fascinating for a film of its time (and the suspense to be pretty high as well). It's been copied so many times...that's may be why you found it pretty predictable.

And, yeah, I did watch La Dolce Vita. It was the only one I watched...=/ I'm still thinking about it, actually. Marcello's downfall was compelling, and the film is filled with symbolism. I'm not quite sure how much I liked it, though. For now, I'll back you up on it so it earns a place.

C'Mon, Anita in the fountain has to be one of the most brilliant scenes ever. i like her when she's clibing the dome and her hat flies off too. She was one of my role models when I was a late teenager. Probably informed my sexuality more than anyone, real or imaginary, prior to that point in my life.

Bradley, I really disliked Atanarjuat. What did you find so good about it. Jean and Manon I remember too. I saw them when I was very young, but remember them being excellent, so I'll match those for you. Leon has come up several times, but it's an American film. It just had a better edited release over-seas that was considered too risque here. I will put it up in the Indie section.

Anyone, I try to keep up, but might be missing some of these matches. Please draw my attention to any missed of you catch them.

@Bradley Witherberry...Its interesting about your comments on Atanarjuat...because that is exactly the problem i had with the movie. I was it over a year ago and wrote up a review I can't find now, but I'm going to write a new official one for it eventually. Why'd you like it so much and what did you mean by your comments on primitivism and technology (which I assumed was implied...the fact that they aren't technologically unsavvy?)

India's own curry western and the most successful non-hollywood movie ever. Sold more than 250 million tickets in India alone.

I nominate Infernal Affairs II. Just saw it and I have to say that it was almost as good as the first movie. Some great performances and a very interesting and involving storyline. Can't wait until the third part of the Trilogy is released here.

After re-watching Bad Education and still loving it, I'm suggesting it for the list as well.
