Double accounts are frowned upon, but not a warnable or bannable offense.
Me and Baba handle them all on a case by case basis, if you figured out someone is a "clone" then keep it to yourself and be happy that you are so intelligent.

If I remember reading something in the past, I think Baba takes a tougher stance on 2X accounts.
Didn't he give a partial or full ban because of one.

Also if it isn't even warnable, then people are allowed to do it and try to fool people.
OK, sounds like fun
but
I think that is a mistake.

Baba may Goldie.
It is really something we take on a case by case basis. If baba feels it was/is a warnable or bannable offense, then I would stand by that decision.
We take it all as it comes, but what we don't want, and what I meant to convey in the above post, is members coming to us telling us about possible double accounts.
Me and Baba have the means to track and find double accounts, so we will deal with them privatly.

interesting thread to start in light of what's going on right now. I'd do an ip check on imtim, imo.

An IQ test might be useful.
Maybe an AIDS test too while you're at it.

If imtim83 has any double accounts, the accounts aren't posting from the same computer he does.
Nothing. He could've registered another account (I kinda doubt it, though), but hasn't posted yet...

Its very easy to change your IP address. I could switch mine to one from Mexico easily.

i'm stricter depending on why the account exists. In 99% of the cases, whether i care or not, i never let an account go for more than a day or 2. Those made temporary for funny situations i let go .. otherwise ... a double account is just a pain. Thats my stance. Like eagle said, case by case basis. andaroo currently has 2 accounts too, but that came about due to a mistake which is why i haven't ever bothered doing anything about it.

I have 2 accounts as well.
I have no plans to ban myself, I may revist it at a late date though.

That'd be a very Zen thing to do.

Yeah... I was gonna say. I have add-rock, but never use it. Plus it was no secret that it was me.

I have another account. Early on in KJ, in the first few weeks, I made another username, because I wanted to ditch Archie Gates, it always seemed too abrasive sounding for me. But after several attempts at coming up with alternatives, and a female forum friend assuring me that my ideas were so bad that if we were the last two people on earth I would not be naming her children, I ended up just sticking with this one.
