Right, Box? I can't find any other explanation. The movie was so much fun!
So was Sahara Libs... can I convince you to see that one?

One of the year's best films.

Eh, Sin City's more entertaining, but as far as quality goes, Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room is the best made yet. I'd say...
Even if you're not interested in Enron and you never plan on buying a stock, you should still see it. It's more entertaining than Downfall or The Ring Two, anyways.

Right, Box?
I enjoyed parts of it, but not everything. The action turned me off completely. Generic, tired, cliche-ridden, improbable, highly unoriginal, sub-par in comparison to action sequences in other films, and utterly, utterly forgettable.
I did like Angelina, her breasts, ass, etc (though, I dunno, I found Pitt more appealing, heh). I could not stand her character, who is in effect a murderous bitch. The biggest mystery in the film is why someone like Mr Smith, who is really quite likeable, would want to spend another minute with someone like Jane. This is probably the major reason why the whole enterprise crumbles. The film is so unoriginal and average that the chemistry between the two is the deciding factor (save Vince Vaughn, who is a saving grace). Well, no amount of sex appeal could possibly make up for the characters' deficiencies. I mean, how much sympathy is there to be had for characters who are in the business of killing other people, and who spend most of the film doing exactly that: trying to kill others, including each other.
And don't get me started on the ghastly script. I suppose someone put a gun to the head of the scriptwriter(s) and demanded that not an ounce of originality be displayed. I can't think of any other reason why it would have the kind of script it has.

Oh, btw, I did watch Howl's Moving Castle. I'll give it a grade later. Is that a 2004 or a 2005 release, though?

In terms of having both entertainment value and quality, nothing beats Aliens of the Deep for me.

Indeed it is. I never asked if it qualified for the thread since it's not feature length.
It's a fascinating film. I highly recommend it.

Just came from The Smiths. I thought it started out REALLY good with immense potential. Then it kinda took a little detour and even though it was a fun ride, I think if they stayed on the same road it would have been a bit more meaningful.
I had fun. I did have fun and I really liked it. I wanted a little more seriousness amid the comedy and action and a little more of the marriage as most adults probably were expecting. It was good the way it was. I just thought it could have been a bit better of a movie, not more fun, cuz I did have a blast!
I think this movie was a much needed boost in both their careers. Especially Pitt's since Jolie never really hit it big, cept with Tomb Raider 1.

For the U.S. it's definite a 2005 release, however I don't like the fact that BOM lists this movie in the worldwide grosses of 2005, while it grossed the most of it in Asia during 2004.
