White Noise was boring, unscary, rediculous, and featured terrible plot inconsictancies and lame acting. BOOOOOOO to this movie

White Noise just had a good concept for the movie it's totally original. but they throw it all away for the last 20 minutes just like that. and i reallydissapointed with that, but i think Michael Keaton performances in over 90 minutes saved the movie. and that's just it. so i still can give it a B-

I thought WHITE NOISE was a fun little movie. It wasn't a great movie by any means, but it's a movie I'd recommend to watch on a rainy day when you have nothing else to do.
6/10 (C+)

WHITE NOISE Gets the "A" from me.. This movie RULED and Michael Keaton RULED.. Damn damn shame he's not playing BATMAN in BATMAN BEGINS since he's clearly by and far the BEST Bruce Wayne/BATMAN BAR NONE.. When I listen to Christian Bale speak as BATMAN, he sounds more like BATBOY than BATMAN..

Forgot to review this one when i seen it.
Started out, i loved it, especially some of the jumps rocked. Then the movie started getting a little bet repetitive and actually quite silly. Then when the ghosts were flying about the warehouse at the end, that pushed the movie into JASON X's level of silly. Except , Jason X knew it was silly...WHITE NOISE wanted to be the next THE RING.
Overall, some very nice jumps, and some good acting from Keaton. But falls quickly into silly, derivative and routine.

Okay, I finally got a chance to watch this for the first time on DVD tonight, and I have to say, I'm not impressed, yet nor was it as bad as I was expecting it to be.
So where do I begin? Well, I might as well mention that before I watched the film I did not believe in EVP. After watching the film now, I still don't. That saying though, I thought the idea for a film about it was very intriguing. Now even though I read a lot of bad reviews on the movie, and I wasn't expecting much, I was still hoping to be a little surprised. I was, but not for the right reasons.
If a film is marketed to be a supernatural thriller, or a horror film, I kind of expect to be on the edge of my seat throughout the film. With the exception of one or two "BOO" moments, I wasn't on the edge of my seat. In fact I was bored through most of the film. Yet still, I kind of liked the movie for not resorting to scary moments............up until the final 15 minutes of the film.
(SPOILER: I'm not blatantly giving anything away by writing the following, but you can kind of figure out the ending if you read it. The exception being the last sentence.)
Most of you have written that this is the weak point of the film, and I have to agree with you, even though it was the logical ending. It's just the way that it happened. There's a brief fight, and then nothing. If you are rooting for a character for about an hour and a half, and that character's ultimate fate ends up being death, you kind of want that character to go out on a grand scale. Here, it's nothing. He's just lying there after being attacked by ghosts. WOW!
And if that didn't make enough sense, what was with the little factoid at the end of the film, the one where 1 in 12 EVP messages are threating ones? What is this supposed to mean? Is this suppose to warn us about not messing with the dead? Is it suppose to reassure us somehow? This leads me to my final point.
What is the movie trying to accomplish? I don't think I have ever seen a film before where I have been this blatantly confused about what the film was trying to do. It's not trying to be scary, becuase there would be more "BOO" scenes. It's not supposed to be a mystery, because there isn't really anything to solve, except in the final couple of minutes when it's told right to us. I don't think it's supposed to be a warning to the audience about messing around with EVP, because what would the point of that be? Is it even trying to accomplish anything?
Now, if they had made an actual mystery out of this film, instead of turning Michael Keaton's character into a medium/hero, that would have been kind of cool. Instead, it chooses to go down an odd route, that the film ultimately doesn't recover from.

That's because he is, isn't he? I mean, I haven't seen Begins yet, but it is Batman Begin. As in a very young version of Batman.
Not to hijack the thread.

White Noise? Wow, where do I begin. I liked the premise, Michael Keaton is a solid actor, and it started out as hinting to a potentially good movie. There were some good scares, but the ending was so ridicuous, so stupid, so friggin' over-te-top that I could barely stop myself from laughing. D+

Did I mention I saw this a while ago? Guess not.
A truly awful excuse for a motion picture, White Noise contains a sad, slumming Michael Keaton and one of the most mind-bogglingly dumb endings to a movie in a looooong time. Easily the worst movie of the year so far. D-
