Alright, I'm continuing this thread from boxofficemojo forum when i did "Rate Britney Spears' Singles"

1. "Genie In A Bottle" Christina Aguilera B The song is very catchy and it was a good song in its day but i really wished i heard more of her vocals in this song. (At this point, I thought Britney had more vocals than Christina )

2. "What A Girl Wants" Christina Aguilera B+ One of the few videos I will remember in my life. Great video and the song is decent as well as displaying her vocals really well halfway through the song.

3. "I Turn To You" Christina Aguilera B I really havent heard this song since the 90's. I can't remember what it sounds like but I loved the version that Vonzell performed this song on American Idol Season 4 so i'm thinking that Christina did better than that.

4. "Christmas Song" Never Heard This Song N/A

5. "Come On Over Baby (Radio Remix)" Christina Aguilera A+ This song made me appreciate Christina on how great her voice is and how hot she is. The video is awesome and one of the best dance songs at its time.

6. "Lady Marmalade" Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil' Kim, Mya, and Missy Elliot A+ Again, the video is great and no one has ever heard Christina belt out her vocals in this. Her solo in this song is amazing.

7. "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" Christina Aguilera & Ricky Martin B Didn't really like this song much when it first came out but the song grew on me in the past 3 years.

8. "Dirrty" Christina Aguilera featuring Redman A- Great dance song and awesome awesome video haha

9. "Beautiful" Christina Aguilera A+ Very good lyrics and I guess this is first solo ballad? I don't know but it was an amazing song when it came out and still is.

10. "Fighter" Christina Aguilera A Just an overall good song

11. "Can't Hold Us Down" Christina Aguilera featuring Lil' Kim A-

12. "The Voice Within" Christina Aguilera C+ Nowhere as good as Beautiful but its somewhat decent ballad

5. "Come On Over Baby (Radio Remix)" B I know only one version of this song, have no idea if its radio remix or the original, but the one I know is the one I like a lot. It a great dance song, albeit with too teeny lyrics...

6. "Lady Marmalade" A+ P-O-P P-E-R-F-E-C-T-I-O-N. It's that simple. One of the best covers ever...

7. "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely" D Nobody wants to hear this...

8. "Dirrty" A+ She nailed it again. Actually she nailed it sith the whole Stripped album.

9. "Beautiful" A+ If this song doesn't lift you up, then you're probably dead or without a soul or something like it.

10. "Fighter" A+ Amating video. Just purely brilliant, just like the song...

11. "Can't Hold Us Down" C This song is so out of place on the album, I don't like it. I like the video though... A lot of hot boddies...

12. "The Voice Within" A Great video too for a great song...

13. "Tilt Ya Head Back" F A lot of noise in the song. And without any effect. Awful song. Something really tilted their head when they were making it...

14. "Car Wash" F If the new album will be like TYHB and CW it will be a trash of the year when it comes out. And next time when she decides to make a cover of some song, at least take a good song like Lady Marmalade...

As you can see I prefer her stuff from Stripped.

Why doesn't anyone like Can't Hold Us down? I loved that song.

Because compared to other stuff on Stripped its very weak as a song. :razz:

I think it's the song with the best message (even beating beautiful) The beat is amazing too.

That's only if you're female. Beautiful is universal... And better uplifting song. And better overall song... :wink: And like Vincent said, weak compared to other things on Stripped.

One of the most memorable songs of the new millenium. More than just a single, this was an event. And it still sounds great!

Lots of fun, nasty and with a video to prove just how nasty!

It's a great pop song. You don't realize how much of an anthem this is until you see her perform it in concert.

One of my favorite songs from Stripped. So glad that it was a single. And the video for it is simply her best to this day.

11. Can't Hold Us Down- 4/10

Trash, shit, bad... Very bad. This is just what XA should not waste her time on. The beat is uninspired, the lyrics are just your average girl power Summer anthem and it's just a bit of a mess. No surprise it was such a big hit!


12. The Voice Within- 4/10

This is one of the worst songs from the album. I was so pissed it became a single. The inspirational lyrics are not my cup of tea and there were so many better options to choose from the album for a final single. The violin solo in the middle of the song is very nice, though.

13. Tilt Ya Head Back- 7/10

Very fun! The VMA's performance was great and the video is not bad. I like it a lot.


14. Car Wash- 10/10

Now this is really fun! Missy is crazy and when I hear her part I can see her skiing while rapping her part. I love this song. XA's voice sounds great here, too.

What about her Spanish singles: Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti, Falsas Esperanzas as well as the Spanish versions of Genie, Turn and Baby?

The only good song in spanish is Falsas Esperanzas and possibly Pero Me Acuerdo De Ti, but i really dont like it

The spanish version of Genie, Turn and Baby sound like crap and the lyrics are crap!.....

Have you heard Frankie J's single Obsession?!, he did a version in spanish and it sounds sooo bad

Yeah, I think her second Spanish album will be better. She is making another one I believe. I own all of her albums, and I thought Mi Reflejo wasn't bad. Falsas Esparanzas is my favorite track by far. I just love the beat, and that note she hits towards the end of the song, absolutely amazing!
