My weekend projections (optimistic):
2nd week + Monday actual + weekend (4-day): $130.8 mil
3rd week + weekend: $53.7 mil
4th week + weekend: $38.9 mil
5th week + weekend: $25.1 mil
Total after 5th weekend: $406.9 mil

What? I think that might even be a bit optimistic. TPM increased about 75% on Friday, and I don't think this will do better.

AOTC was more frontloaded and it increased 99%. Your dislike of Star Wars is making you make really bad predictions. I remeber arguing with you a few months ago, on which would be the next a 50 Million in a day earner. You said because of reduced fanbase ROTS had 0% shot at that. You were wrong then, you are wrong now and you will be wrong on all ROTS predictions.

Well, I happen to think that ROTS is certainly more frontloaded then AOTC. BTW, if my dislike of SW were affecting my predictions, why did I go with 150m for the 4 day?
I don't remember that thread, but it does make sense thatI wouldn't have thought ROTS could do 50m. TPM was at 28m, AOTC was at 30, and then you have a jump to 50m? Someone had to change for it to do 50m, and that was 9,400 screens which I did not expect.
In any case, the difference is the date. AOTC had the 24th as its second Friday, while TPM had the 28th, making the 27th in this case a better comparision to TPM.

DP07, I don't see your logic here. Attack of the Clones had direct competition from Spider-Man. Sith doesn't...

That's true. I've found some even lower options. I myself am prediting a $53.2 3-Day and $66.7 4-Day. It's basically just me and you who says Star Wars is going to be very frontloaded!

It's getting double competition this weekend. Madagascar - takes away families/kids. The Longest Yard - takes away teens, college students and some adults.
