 Looking for News Editors
if people haven't noticed already (and i'm sure they haven't), the news section on the front page has been modified a little bit.
http://www.worldofkj.com
Now the news was something that was barely ever updated before. But thanks to a few changes, it will be easier to not only update the news but to have a small report for each as well. Do understand that the look and positioning of the news updates at the moment is temporary. There will be a modification to this in the future. What is good though is that any modification will not cause a problem with the news already updated and thus, we can start posting news up right away.
Due to this, I am looking for news editors to update the news on a daily basis (weekends excluded). Please apply only if you're serious. I've done news editing before and its an important commitment. Unlike other sections of the site that require only periodical updates and/or a pre-requisite of watching a movie or a trailer or the box office, news needs to be updated every single day.
Due to this, eagle and I are looking for a person who meets the following criteria:
a) Someone who updates news daily (atleast 3 to 4 articles of news when available at the minimum) b) Updates made preferably in the mornings (North American)) c) Must have basic knowledge of HTML and or is willing to sit down for a few hours and learn the basic tags. I've already designed a template so people need not worry and also written down the tags required in certain places where its required .. a person will just have to change the content within it. its simple) c) Is willing to browse the different sites for news. d) Posts credible news. e) No 'National Enquirer' type news. I don't care if Garner got married or if Simpson dyed her hair blonde. f) I hate having to put the following requirement but because the news editor will be working completely independantly and has updates on a daily basis, there will be no one to read over and check the article written. Due to this, we need someone with 'decent' enough English who is willing to proof read his own things (which I have never ever been in the habit of doing myself!)
All those interested:
Email me at arsalan@worldofkj.com
We haven't decided how many news editors we will have. We may just opt for 1 or may opt for 2. Whoever is chosen will be on probationary basis and will be assessed till the modifications are finished.
Thanks

Well, as much as I'd like to do this, I don't know of my schedule would allow this. I would like to help out, though. I keep about six different movies news site on my Firefox bookmarks toolbar and check them all several times a day, if that helps, and I passed the editing test Torrino posted earlier in the year (though I haven't really edited anything due to the hazardous mix of an overcrowded schedule and general laziness). I also know some very basic HTML, but I'm a very fast learner.
But ultimately, its up to you. I have some motivational issues sometimes, and I won't always have the time required for this, especially for about the entire month of July. At that, when school starts up again, there's no way I'd be able to do it.
But like I said, I'd love to help in any way possible.

I'd be able to do it. When I'm in school and on the computer, I'm on KJ and with summer coming up I'll be home.
