Spider-Man 2 with $152m. SW3 has already beaten that by $6m on day 4, so it will hold the record by a considerable margin.

Six-day, it's SM2 again, with $180m, and that, I think, will be a tough one for Sith to match. It will need ~$11m Monday and Tuesday to do it, which is very possible, but not guaranteed.

The 1st week, 7 day record is held by SM2 as well, with $192m. Again, Sith needs $12m Mon-Wed per day to match it.

Day 8- SM2 ($202m), Day 9- SM2 $211m, Day 10- SM2 $225m, Sm1 $223m, Day 11- SM2 $243M, Day 12- SM2 $256M, Day 13- SM2 $262m, Day 14 (2 Weeks)- Sm2 $267.6m, Shrek 2 $266m.

On Day 17, Shrek 2 takes over from SM2 with $287m.

Anyways, the Spider-Man films and Shrek 2 were amazing performers. Sith needs to keep a hot streak going if it wants to keep apace with them. "OK" weekdays will not be enough; it needs to stay above $10m at least until next weekend if it wants to be near at the top of those charts.

However, I think a number of SM2's and Shrek 2's records are safe.

I'm not completely sure where this should go, but this seems like as good a place as any. These are the Canadian numbers for Star Wars Episode III: 1 Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith 8,621,553 11,712,379 Figures in Canadian dollars.

found on this site

That's disappointing, the one comparative figure I remember is that Spiderman had a 12M 3day weekend, and that didn't include a Sunday held up by Victoria day.

Lads and Gents, I think this is pretty much guaranteed the next $400m spot on the all time chart.

Btw, its Monday will be quite strong; Canada is on holiday, and the film is not very kids-heavy.

I actually pretty much agree with those, except the Thursday number. Much high drop. Also Saturday is way too high since Sunday will act like a Saturday as well.

That Sunday number is GIGANTIC. How the hell did SW manage it? It dropped less than Shrek 2 did.... and that was a family film!

Total after Memorial Day - $295.7 million

:yikes:

I actually pretty much agree with those, except the Thursday number. Much high drop. Also Saturday is way too high since Sunday will act like a Saturday as well.

Both The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones dropped less than 2% on Thursday, and both increased over 40% on Saturday.

After seeing ROTS, it is DEFINATELY a family film as well. There was so many kids there; even ones that looked about 5 years old. This PG-13 rating isn't changing anything; Star Wars still seems to be considered a Star Wars films, as parents bring their children, at least where I live. So it looks like Star Wars could pull out a strong gross despite being "darker", because kids are still seeing it anyways.

PEACE, Mike ;)

Oh, and if my projections for the week do happen, it'll be ahead of The Empire Strikes Back ($290,475,067) on Monday. :)

Here's what's making my eyes

Its been open 4 days, and every one of 'em is in the top 15 all time. No other film has more than 2.

http://www.boxofficemojo.com/alltime/days/

Note - it can't get to 5 in the top 15 very easily, it would knock one of its own days out.

If Zingaling has the right ballpark, it could put at least 2 more up into the top 50.
