Agreed. I like the way it downloads things, and how you can change your theme.

Also, Google just put out Google Desktop to search the files in your machine and the websites you've visited. It's way faster than Windows own search.
What are you talking about? I'm still using Netscape. Always have. Love it. Got popup blocker. 250MB of email space. Built-in Google search engine and AOL IM. It's the best of everything. I love it. AND it's free.

NetScape still exists, but it hasn't been under active development for years. AOL pretty much dumped it after they bought it.

I use Firefox almost exclusively now. Sometimes Avant or Netscape...and of course IE for the things that Microsoft made it impossible to get around...stupid updates...

Ah, good ol' MIcrosoft bashing
Look, if you don't like Microsoft products, just don't use them. There's plenty of alternatives, most of which are free of charge. The "monopoly" thing is a myth.
Personally, I use Mozilla Firefox.

I just downloaded Mozilla Firefox because of this thread. I'm using it right now, and it's great. Way better than IE.

Mozilla is the best and everyone should download it. Avant is pretty good also!

Not bad, so far so good... I esp. liked the feature when during install it transfered all my passwords, favorites, etc.

Within a week of using Mozilla Firefox, I completely switched (95%) to it... And that's a huge vote of confidence in Mozilla...
I love the tab browsing, it is visibly faster than Internet Explorer, remembers all your passwords, so it logs you in automatically...
It really is a great piece of software, all I need now is to find a spellchecker that can be added to my right-click function... Something similar to ieSpell...
Also, is there a keyboard short to switch between tabs in Mozilla... similar to switching between open windows (ALT+TAB)??? Anyone knows???

Glad you like Firefox.
Ctrl+Tab switches between tabs
Here's the spellchecker plugin: http://spellbound.sourceforge.net/index.html#header
