I can still remember being burned by my first impressions on Attack of the Clones, which is why I'm holding back on giving Sith an A. If, like you, I'm just as overwhelmed second time round, I'll be upping my grade in a heartbeat.

Star Wars, we're counting on you cracka.

Ha! I just watched it for the 5th time and if I would've read this I would have actually took pictures (with my cell phone)! Oh well, I might take some pictures on Saturday!

Here's what I'll need Star Wars.

The exact dates and showtimes for each Sith viewing. I'm guessing it's all at the same theater so I'll need the name of that theater. Copy of all ticket stubs are needed, as are any photos you can take of yourself at the theater. If all the criteria is met, I'll conduct an interview with you on Sunday.

I agree with just about everything you said. \:D/ I usually don't give into the whole "movie experience" dealey, but this is something one MUST see in order to claim that you are a Star Wars fan AT ALL.

I'm hoping to see it tomorrow night for the third time, and maybe Sunday evening after work.

I'd say right now, that this is the third best Star Wars movie, behind The Empire Strikes Back and A New Hope. It's definetly better than the last two films.

I was actually surprised, but there is actually some good acting in this film (At least good acting for the Star Wars series). It's nowhere near as wooden as the previous two films. Maybe I didn't notice it though because of all the action. This might possibly be the most action packed out of all of the films. All the action sequences were very entertaining to watch, especially the opening sequence, and the fight between The Emperor and Yoda.

The ending of this movie is also very well done with the introduction of Leia and Luke. Great setup for A New Hope.

Best of 2005 so far......... A+

Yeah. I think it's a major aspect of watching a movie like this. I'm hoping to see it again tonight or tomorrow night, too. \:D/

I knew Lucas had it in him to make another good SW movie, I will be after my second viewing tomorrow to write my pros and cons.

B.

SO much of an improvement over the other prequels, I will say this Ewan McGregor was prefect for Obi-wan and Natalie Portman should never act infront of a green screen again, she's awful at it. How she went from Closer to this, I don't know. Also Christensen is a good actor, yes he was whiny and irritaitingin AOTC, that is what Lucas wanted. There nothing which irritates me more then leveling the blame for a lackluster AOTC on Christensen.

Well, I just got back from ROTS and I have to say I'm very moved at the moment, particulary by the Old Trilogy music with Luke and Leia's theme music played that really brought tears to my eyes and pretty noticeably to.. I'll say right off the bat that the movie started off with a Grade of "B" and not an "A" mainly because I thought the rescue portion in the beginning dragged on a little too long, about 15 minutes too long and General Grevious did nothing for me... After that, things picked up pretty good with a few occasional drag spots here and there and if anything, I would much rather of substituted more Wookies and less Grevious and all would've been perfect.. I enjoyed the conversations between Palpatine and Anakin and in particular when he was discussing his Master, Darth Plageius and the trainings of the Sith and the Darkside.. I thought the Lightsaber duels were Fantastic and I'm glad to see Lucas didn't pull a Peter Jackson and axe Christopher Lee's scenes, even if they were brief like he did with him in the LOTR movies..

Overall for the moment I give the movie a "B+" and not an "A" and what prevented it from being an "A" because of a few key elements I felt should've been left in the film:

- It would've been nice to see Yoda escaping to Dagobah and showing him land there instead of cutting him off in the scene where him, Bails Organa and Obi-Wan are discussing the plans to split up.. You see Yoda tell Obi Wan and Organa what to do, but then you don't see Yoda flee to the Planet he'll be exiled on which would've been an even better continuity touch.. Maybe will see all this when the DVD arrives which I'm sure we will and will sell like Hotcakes..

- Show Qui Gon Ginn in Spirit form to bring more continuity to MENACE and actually focus and show how the disappearing trait is learned..

- Again, more Wookies and less Grevious..

Other than that, it was a very good movie and definitely what EPISODE I should've been in 1999 and wasn't.. For now, I'm content with a grade of "B+" and I will be seeing this again tomorrow night and Sunday so maybe my grade will be higher, but for now, it's a fair and honest grade.. George Lucas did good and I loved seeing Skywalker torch into flames that neither had me phased or unphased.. It was effective and I enjoyed seeing him take his steps when he had the Vader suit on.. Now folks complain about the "Nooooooo" from Vader, but I thought it was just fine and seems many complaints about that are blown out of proportion.. I'm willing to bet that if any of you were in the position he put himself in, you'd fucking scream to, but that's it..

I loved how it ended and great to see Owen in the same footing and postion staring off into the twin sunsets like we see Luke years later in ANH..

Other than that" 2 Thumbs up.. :2up:

See?? You folks think you have me predicted and thought I would've automatically just gave this an "A" out of fanboy gushing, but a "B+" is still Fantastic and far higher than the grades I gave for MENACE and CLONES which was a "C-" for MENACE and a "C" for CLONES.. For SITH, I would've given it an "A" if Lucas would've trimmed Grevious's scenes and added more Wookie time instead.. However, I'm seeing this again tomorrow and perhaps my grade will have changed higher but for now, I'm content with this being a "B+".. It was tear inducing to see Yoda saying Goodbye to Chewbacca knowing those 2 would never cross paths again..

I was just thinking all the hype, other good grades, and it being the last one would lead to atleast an automatic A rating.

its the best SW movie to date, yes the acting is really great, especially Ian McDiarmid, Ewan, and Hayden, those 3 really stole the show for me, McDiarmid as Palpatine is just the best thing a SW could have hoped for, Ewan in his personal style is indeed a perfect Obi-Wan and Hayden, the way he turns to the darkside is Excelent, the scene where he and Padme are looking at each other in the Windows and Hayden starts crying like he already made his decision is just Awsome.

For those who dont understand why Grivous coffs so much, go see the Clone Wars, its all there, i'll give you a hint, Mace Windu .

The Battles were the best thing i've seen in a movie theater, the way GL put the camera following Anakin & Obi-wan ships is just Awsome, and the FX are the best! if ILM doesnt win for best fx this year then its official that i'll never see the Oscars again in my life.

i loved every second of this movie, there are some sweet surprises like GL cameo, Mon Mothma, Millenium Falcon, and Tarkin (dunno if there are more).

i've seen it 2 times already, but i'm going to see at least 2 more times , thats for sure.

Where was Mon Mothma?? :-k I saw Tarkin and I didn't see Lucas maybe because there was so much going on that it was really hard to focus on such things.. I agree with your complaints, and I'll add I would have liked to see Anakin actually kill a Jedi, in the orignal Obi-wan says darth Vader helped hunt down the Jedi. We saw Anakin kill the Separatist leaders, so what, we've known since the first movie that the Chancellor was Darth Sidious and he wa splaying both sides. To really hammar home Anakin's turn, I would have lied to se ehim kill an adult jedi, I can see Lucas not showing him kill the kids, but their had to be some adults left in the temple.

AS for Qui Gon, Liam Neesen refuses to do anythign else with Star Wars, so Lucas should have just cut that scene, because it was just awkward.

Also, I read in Premiere, Lucas consdiered having Padme start the rebellion, that's a side plot that I was sad to see he did not explore.

I am seeing it again today, after that I will post a full review.

Mon Mothma was apparently in that mix of senators that greeted Palpatine and Anakin when they returned.

There have been adult Jedi in temple, and if I recall correctly it is shown Anakin killing them in that holo Obi watched.

I think Ripper was referring to a scene in the film. The hologram wasn't very detailed.

So here's the deal...at the midnight showing, l went to place the ticket stub in my wallet, and guess what? Nope, youre wrong. But really, sitting in the little back corner thing, was an untorn ticket. What? l figured it was one of those "free popcorn" loyalty rewards, so l took it out to use it and it says "Star Wars: Episode III ADV" for 7Pm Friday. Apparently l bought a ticket long before l decided to give in and see the midnight and didnt remember. Which is kinda sad, l'm only 18, l shouldnt forget something like that. l figured l'd give it to my brother, who is in town this weekend for graduation, but he wasnt supposed to arrive until 8 or 9. So, l saw it again last night. And really l'm glad l did.

The film, as l suspected, improved greatly. Many of the little things, which hindered the film so upon first viewing, didn't bother me at all this time. Cliche as it may be, the acting bugged me a lil at 12:30 Thurs morning, but again, l hardly noticed it now. There were still a few problems, such as some far-too-quick cuts, and other general editing things, and l didn't really like the whole R2 hero thing. But overall, the film was just amazing the second time around. Easily the best of the year, and possibly the second best of the franchise. l'll have to rewatch the OT again. A+

About R2, he did have a series of heroic moments in the OT. So it's not as if his actions in Clones and Sith are completely out of left field.
