Little things matter on this show. Had the gate attendant not caved, they would have won.

It was the same sort of thing last season, when Kris and Jon only lost to Freddy and Kendra because their jerk ticket agent didn't tell them about an earlier flight that would've lead to their victory.

I really hope people don't actually tune in to watch them get married for 2 hours.

Ugh, I'd rather see them get married than Star Jones. *hurl*

Libs, thank you very much for turning me on to this show. It was very intense and exciting, and I'm sad that it's over for awhile.

Their wedding actually looks sorta neat. And the fact that I think they are truly a wonderful couple makes me actually feel happy for them for marrying eachother. That being said, I probably won't be tuning in to watch their wedding. Heh.

This was a fairly exciting finale, with only one thing bothering me. The bunching at the gate. For a finale, I don't think there should be any hours of operation induced bunching when racing for a million.
My stupid sound cut out during Uchenna and Joyce's final chat at the mat, so that was disappointing. As a finale, I'd have to place this below TAR6,5 and 3 and 2 in terms of excitement. For TAR6 I was on my feet and everything, this one.. not so much. Still they are probably my favourite winner of The Amazing Race. Good job Uchenna and Joyce.

Me too, and then Freddy and Kendra won. What a disappointment.
I think I like Uchenna and Joyce even more than Chip and Kim, so they are wonderful winners in my book!
I just wanted to say how fun it was to chat about the race with you guys from November during the previous season until now. I had a lot of fun every week.
See you back for our experimental family edition for season 8!

Family edition should be fun, no? By family edition, do they mean the typical 4 person family? Do they have to trudge 4 people around on each team? Because that would be sweet.

It's ironic that Romber got more help than any other team when it came to enslaving locals, getting directions, and being allowed on planes that were leaving; but when it came to the final sprint, they got screwed over by some guy on the street. Hmmm, maybe it was Lex in disguise
Anyway, I couldn't be happier for Uchenna and Joyce, and for The Amazing Race. Altruism triumphed over ego, charity overcame greed, and the most likeable team won.

I remain cautiously optimistic about season 8.
There's another show in the works on NBC that's similar to The Amazing Race. It's called Treasure Hunters. It's teams of 3 racing around the globe solving puzzles and completing tasks.
Christine, her brother who's a former Navy Seal, and I have talked about auditioning for it (I've auditioned in the past for The Runner and The Mole). I think completing all the various extreme sports while in New Zealand (bungy, skydive, glacier climb, spelunk, scuba...) were a test run for us.
I still have a third knee surgery to look forward to though.

That sounds similar to NBC's last failed attempt at an TAR clone, Lost. Drop off three teams somewhere in the world, give them stuff to do and tell them to get to a certain point to win 25K or something, it was horribly bad, and didn't last long.
I'm still not sure about TAR8, it's going to be hard to find villians among teams comprised of families.....who am I kidding, I'll find a way to hate.

Why the hell would anyone want Rob & Amber to win, instead of sticking with their 15min of fame, they went and got themselves on Amazing Race, now they're getting another freakin 15min with that stupid wedding special, who the hell is gonna watch that crap? They're tv whores grasping for as much fame as they can before it's all over. Glad Uchenna & Joyce win, now I only have two shows I watch regullary, Family Guy & Contender, and Contender will end soon

Rob and Ambers wedding will most likely be a ratings winner? It has a primetime spot. Why? Because witnessing the marriage between two demons from the eternal hell fire doesn't exactly come along too often. Amber will be wearing a red dress. It will also be funny to watch fire shoot out of podium.
As for the winners. Good for them. I didn't think they would win (Editing is tense), but I am glad they came through. It gives me a little hope in humanity yet.

Hehe. Did anyone notice how at the end all the teams usually cheer for the second team too, but last night it was just light polite clapping. Hehe.
I loved it when Ron & Kelly told their cab driver not to call another taxi. Made me like em a litttttttttttttttle more.
And before the Rob & Amber (I'll shoot myself if I ever call them /Romber ) fans say anything about it, you knwo they would've done the exact same thing
Not sure if there's EVER been more deserving winner.s And a great finale too, possibly because it seemed like there was more at stake. It could have been Ron & kelly or Rob & Amber.
Or Unchenna & Joyce I think I was close to having a heart attack during the last 10 minutes.
But was so happy when U&J finally caught up earlier in the episode.
The finale averaged 16 million viewers, bTW. Not sure but I think that might be the show's highest ratings ever. And to think jsut over a year ago it was thisclose to being cancelled.

Just curious, what makes Uchenna and Joyce more deserving? Even though they were my second favorite team, I'm not sure they deserved it anymore than Rob and Amber.
Just because you need fertility treatment or that you worked for Worldcom doesn't mean you're automatically more deserving.

They worked harder than anyone on the race to win it.
And DURING the race they were the best team overall in the race. Most likable, I don't know...it's hard to dislike them even if you liked any other team better.
(My opinion of them deserving to win/me rooting for them to win has nothing to do with their jobs, or their need for a fertility treatment). For all I care they could use ALL the money to take a year long trip around the world and I'd be just as happy for them.

Did U&J ever win anything when they stepped first on the mat during the course of the game?

Uchenna and Joyce were deserving winners but Rob and Amber got screwed. Can someone explain to me why the plan would all of a sudden stop and open the doors for them? What a crock. I'll tell you shy, because if it didn't, Rob and Amber wouldhave won easily, no drama in that. I think RA should have won. There is no doubt a conspiracy here to induce ratings. Just a littletoo fishy for me.
