Okay..Im tired of the whole, XTINA VS BRITNEY, and I'm tired ofr Kelly VS Clay and stuff.

Its time for a more REASONABLE comparison.

-Both women have POWER HOUSE voices
-Both women have had sucessful albums in a failing pop music industry(POST 2002)
-Both women are white! :razz:
-Both women have been known to write their own music
-Both women have TECHNICALLY worked together ( Christina wrote Miss Independent, Kelly made it a hit)
-Both have had overwhelming cross over appeal
-Both have been able to cross over genres and not be called an outcast

So..who's better?

In my book, Kelly is the best!!!, i dont have a reason, i just dont like Christina

AS for my opinion...

I feel Christina Aguilera is better out of the two, but if Kelly continues this "stride" of great vocals and hits, then you can expect my opinion to change.

They are both equally FANTABOULOUS! Xtina has the diva-ish voice, but Kelly has the power-ish voice.

If they were both unknowns, and went to American Idol, who would have made it farther?

Christina Aguilera of course! She sings in four octaves, something Kelly Clarkson cannot do.

I personally prefer Christina Aguilera. I think Stripped was an amazing album, and her songwriting on it was brilliant. Kelly Clarkson has a great voice, but it doesn't compare to what Aguilera possesses. I like Kelly too, and I thought Breakaway was a great album, but I just think Christina has much more talent.

But regardless, I'm basing my decision on the music itself since both are good singers.


And when comparing their music Kelly clarkson easily beats Aguilera. Even Thankful was better than Stripped. Breakaway was MUCH better than Stripped.

Didn't care much for Aguilera's debut at all.

Therefore Clarkson.

Kelly Clarkson has a more impressive voice (to me, at least) and is *far* less of a hoochie, so it's Kelly.

Does Clarkson write any of her songs?

I believe she wrote (or at least co-write) "Behind These Hazel Eyes", "Addicted" and "Where Is Your Heart" and "Hear Me" off of her Breakaway album. Not sure about the other songs, but I'm pretty sure she didn't write "Since U Been Gone" and I know Avril Lavigne penned "Breakaway".

And "Because of You" and "Walk Away." And "Miss Independent" and "The Trouble With Love Is", and "You Thought Wrong" and "Thankful" from Thankful.

She co-wrote or WROTE all of the songs but 3 on the album I believe.

How is this even a competition? And what has possessed you guys to even consider Kelly Clarkson in the same league of Christina Aguilera? Just because Kelly's had 2 nice songs doesn't mean she can compete with Christina.

I think Christina Aguilera has the better voice, and she is clearly a much better songwriter.
