What everyone else said. Also it was a good blending of American and British comedians and actors, a good ensemble. From Kline sticking the french fries up Palin's nose to the part about the power of speaking Italian, it was a lot of fun.

Brilliant commedy. The muffed up attempts to kill the old lady. The unintentional beat down of the magistrate. Swallowing the poor man's fish. Plus, a wonderful opening robbering set to an excellent score.

Re: A Fish Called Wanda One of my favorite movies, if not my very favorite movie. I discovered it on HBO years ago and fell inlurve with it, and I forced Mr. X to watch it last year, and he luved it too. I also liked Fierce Creatures, but it doesn't compare to Wanda.

Re: A Fish Called Wanda Bought this on DVD, per Korrgan's request, and despite some apprehension, I did end up loving it. Easily one of my favorite comedies. One of those movies you watch over and over again.

Re: A Fish Called Wanda This is a good movie and I'm glad I saw this finally, it has some very good performances and it's just amusing. Comical and dealing with some fun scenarios, yet it's also just not quite all there for me to consider this a great classic as some do. I feel it depends too much on individual bits, which are mostly fun, but just not exactly my humor I guess and it runs a bit long finally.

Re: A Fish Called Wanda This was in the same collection as Ghost on the criterion channel, show stealing supporting performances, so I figured I'd give it a try and am glad I did. It had some slow points and misses greatness status because of it, but overall it was a pretty funny film. Kline is kinda playing a sociopath Steve Martin but he does it well. Jamie sells herself as the girl who every guy falls in love with and is convinced that even though she's betrayed every other man shes met, they will be the one she doesn't betray. The stuttering guy, while annoying sometimes, actually had the best parts of the film when he was trying to kill the old woman but kept killing the dogs instead.
I'll give it a 7.5/10.
