This conversation is like arguing which instrument is better for your penis; a mallet or a sword.

I've smoked a few cigarettes for the first time last year and while relaxing I'm glad I haven't gotten addicted, gonna refrain from starting regularly as I had lung problems in the past lol.

All the times I've tried weed I haven't gotten really high, just a big headache.

Gamaur, besides the kid in Infinite Jest (which I never finished), you're the first person I've seen that had a serious problem with it. Usually people with that kind of dependency move on to harder drugs, so in a way you're more disciplined than you thought. I feel like alcohol encourages you to drink more, as if things can only get better. Weed is no fun at all if you smoke too much. It just gives you a headache, you've gotta wait until the first high is gone before you can get a good second. Like even on my stonerest of days I would top out at 5 smokesperday with hours in between. The best part of weed, IMO, is that you can continue on with your day even after you've smoked.

But people do need to learn that safer does not mean safe. How many stories have come out of Colorado about first time users eating some extremely potent edible and not being able to handle it? Alcohol sure does kill a lot more people, but mostly in collisions.

Cigarettes are the worst. I haven't had one in about a year, so I'd to like I'm in the clear, but there's no way to guarantee it. By the end, all I was getting out of the cigarette was satisfying my craving for cigarettes.

Alcohol by default.

I have asthma (excuse me while I adjust the tape on the bridge of my glasses) so just being around the smell of cigarette smoke can set me off. Yet my grandmother lived all her life with asthma, began smoking as a teenager, never stopped and managed to live into her eighties. Go figure.

As for weed, see above, and I'm not sure how I'd handle edibles or a vaporizer. I also don't find it alluring enough to try it.

My grandma started smoking cigarettes at 13 years old, back in 1947. She's still smoking.

Weed.
Because I think it's the least damaging to society.

A society without any of those would probably best, but I think the record shows societies where weed is legal usually tend to be more successful.

The idea of smoking anything disgusts me. Whether or not alcohol is actually worse for you, the concept of it does not disgust me. So alcohol.

I used to smoke occasionally, but I never really got hooked on cigarettes. The smell and the way it lingers on clothes just weren’t for me. I tried weed a handful of times too, but it never did much except make me feel sluggish. These days, I stick to vaping because it gives me the relaxation I want without the harsh aftertaste or smell.

One of my favorites so far has been the tested Don Cristo e-liquid. It has this rich, cigar-like flavor that’s smooth but not overpowering, making it a solid choice if you're into tobacco-inspired vapes.

Vaping seems to be everywhere these days. It is certainly less foul than cigarettes but from what I've heard worse than cigarettes for the user.

Only alcohol for me and even then, I now limit to the occasional beer or scotch/cognac.

I have kids so I don’t smoke weed anymore except for concerts of the occasional night out with a friend. With it being more legal now it is easier to access and weirdly more mundane, but don’t recommend smoking when you have kids as it makes you lose focus. I mostly just drink these days, but never enough to get drunk and honestly just beer and occasionally whiskey. Gotta stay sober when you have kids
