Wasn't really excited for this but thought it was pretty good. Visuals are excellent and I was engaged with the story.

Re: Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes
It was a lot better than I was expecting it to be. Captivating story, characters and set ups for the future of the series.
Would have loved to see maybe some old video footage or something to fill in more of the gaps of the last 300 years but still a great additional to the franchise.

Wow! Honestly one of the best surprises in my cinematic history. This was Awesome. It captured the grand scale adventure of something like the first Avatar while holding on to the grit of the Matt Reeves films. All the characters, even the villains, are great hangs. The themes of 'can we co-exist?" and 'who, if anyone, deserves power?" are heavy but digestable. And there are just so many great little moments that I can't even begin to list them.

This was surprisingly my favorite of the 4 films since the reboot, Great cinematography and visual effects and performances. Almost perfectly paced with a good mix of character moments and action. Just immensely satisfying overall.

I like it, but also a bit underwhelming. I was expecting some more spectacle, instead it's all pretty small scale stuff. But I enjoyed going back to the Apes world, visuals and sound are just pretty great and offer a nice cinematic experience. It just felt to me there's a better and more exciting story in there though. Considering the ending of this film, we'll hopefully get that next.
