THE BATMAN PART II - 10/3/2025
Follow up the well received hit. Currently slated for early October release.
Jett from BOF strongly hints that Josh Hartnett is going to be Harvey Dent. He would be an excellent choice and would generate some unique PR as the latest early 2000s A-Lister to have a full blown mainstream comeback.
Film needs a bit more action and needs a tighter story then the first if it wants to see a serious increase.

I don’t see a big increase, but it can definitely have a shot at WB’s biggest unadjusted opening with around 170 or so.

If it looks phenomenal it'll be WB's biggest opening. If it doesn't open over 150m then yeah, WB's damage on DC is pretty bad.

I like Hartnett as Dent, but I hope that neither Two Face or Joker are the main villains. The rebooting of a previously comedic villain worked well in the first so I'd go with Freeze or Ivy as the primary antagonist. Both could do wonders with a flooded Gotham.

Hartnett's Dent would be radically different than Eckhart's, I imagine. Hopefully he gets to stick around as a full-blown Two-Face.
Freeze would be epic if done well.
I also don't think anyone associates Batman - or this Batman - with DC. Its very much its own thing.

Arnold coming back but as a serious Freeze and with today's CGI would be huge for the box office. #WeCanDream

Hartnett was freaking GREAT in Oppenheimer. If he brings that kind of performance into the Harvey Dent role, it would be a hell of a good casting choice.

And Reeves isn't doing anything else in between? Weird.

It sounds like the big issue was the strike caused a delay in the script. If they are still at the script stage, this is still way too early in development. Would not be shocked if it ends up in March 2027 like the original film.
