 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
Cruel Summer is on sale this week on itunes. Looks like one last push to try and get it to #1 before the 1989 remake comes out.

Taylor finally pulled the trigger on remix, she knew the whole time this was the week.

Knew the song was a hit the first time I heard it. Not making it a single originally was lol

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
Cruel Summer still #1. I guess 1989 sold 250k in its first day, which is really good but probably not enough to push it over 1 million for the week.

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
1.14 million sold for 1989 remake. Wowza. That's up like 300-400k from the Speak Now and Red remake. Looks like Is It Over Now will be the big single and make a run at #1 this week.
Monaco is awesome. Hope it returns back to the top ten after Taylor's takeover.

Monaco is awesome. Hope it returns back to the top ten after Taylor's takeover. 1.6 million total first week for 1989. Even bigger than Midnights and the new record for an album that went right to streaming. Errr how?

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
She’s on a decline for sure but probably still has enough momentum for lead singles to hit number one.

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
She'd have to withhold the album from streaming. Taylor doesn't seem like the type to ruffle the feathers of apple and spotify unless the record was guaranteed and how could it be? 25 sold like a million more than the #2 album, No Strings Attached, which itself is way above the #3 album (like 400k over Celebrity I think?)

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
I guess 25 is too high to catch, but Nsync improbably being beaten twice would also be cool

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
The Beatles song is kinda weird to me. Just sounds like any ole modern alt-rock song and I would've guessed it was by a band called Friday Pandas or something.

 Re: Billboard chart discussion thread
I mostly like Dua, but Houdini missing the top ten shows how little cultural impact she has had. You can put anyone on Dance The Night Away and it'd be the same song.
