I try to avoid looking this stuff up in case new visuals, chapter titles, etc., spoil anything as I'm often behind most series I read (hate week-to-week, so I tend to wait until many chapters are available at a time).

The sales chart the week after next (Apr. 4-10) is going to be a doozy. One Piece #102, Jujutsu Kaisen #19, Spy x Family #9 are being released on 4/4 (as well as most new manga this week, I presume), so they'll have the full 7 days for their first week.

Spy x Family is having its anime airing on that week and backlog is already clawing its way to the top50 in anticipation for it (some as high as top30 on latest dailies), so that's an interesting one to watch. And takopi is getting its second (and final) volume released, another huge one considering volume 1 hit 200k in only 4 weeks and is still going super strong after reprint.

I just wish Spy x Family had at least a dozen volumes out already. All but the most recent have also sold over 1 million copies already, too, so based on that, the backlog boost might be pretty minimal and only noticeable for a couple of weeks.

I'll remain hopeful for a more significant boost though. It's an excellent series (I've read up through volume 6 so far), and definitely looking forward to the anime.

I think it'll certainly be noticeable. Latest dailies are suggesting its volumes 4-8 will pull 20-30k this week, and the only reason volumes 1-3 are trailing behind is that they are sharing their sales with a special anime volume 1-3 SKU. And they are still climbing higher on the daily, so when the anime airs, it is very likely to be a very, very impressive boost indeed.

The question remains as to how long it'll last though, but the early trend looks great.

One Piece always gets its street date broken actually, and with certain publishers it happens regularly even for small releases (I'm thinking kadokawa but others do it too). Sometimes it happens with limited/special editions as well which seems to be the case for JJK.

This week we should see all SxF volumes (+bundle vol 1-3) in top 50 according to shoseki ranking. Can't wait too see how big can be its boost... 2M bar/volume is possible. Guess it'll takes top spot in next weekly ranking (April 11-17th).

Edit : 254,650 books sold for Takopi's Original Sin last week... so volume 2nd must sold 200-220k. That 2 volumes serie is really impressive !
