Ok I watched 44 minutes of this. Life is too short to continue. It's very boring.

Film's like this are more like seeing a good play, and comparing. It'll always be hindered by 1930s storytelling. I always find you have to go into a film like this realizing how much influence the story has had on the genre (compare what other films steal from it etc)

It certainly could have been more engaging. They had alot to work with. It just doesnt pay off and is a bit of a slog to get there too.

I liked this a good bit. I enjoy most of Agatha Christie's work too though, so probably a little bias. B.
Although, I can't really imagine someone hating/disliking this (C or lower grade) but loving Death on the Nile. I haven't seen Death on the Nile yet, but seems like a stretch to go from like a D+ here to a B+ for it based on the novels.

But I haven't read the book or seen any previous adaptations so it was new to me. What influence it has had on the genre doesn't really matter to me. I just wanted a good murder mystery and could not get into it. That being said I'll still go see Death on the Nile. The story seems more interesting. Hopefully I'm right.
