To take over for Spider-Man? Sure why not, it was the early years of the internet after all.

 Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home
Very fun. However... I don't want to say Dr. Strange was out of character, but performing this potentially world-changing, universe-altering spell so easily for Peter (especially after all they just went through together in IW/EG!) just felt as a quick, easy method of making this film possible. I was sort of hoping it wasn't the real him. But, I mean, I'm not going to fault it too harshly since, as said, it allowed the plot of this film to happen.
Liked seeing Molina back in this role. He really seemed to be enjoying himself. Dafoe was also great, of course. And both Garfield and Maguire looked happy to be back in their roles. Garfield was certainly the most entertaining of the two here, but Maguire was fine too. And I agree with everyone who said the film didn't feel like a 2.5 hour movie. I don't mind long movies, generally prefer them even, but it felt much shorter than it was.
No complaints, really, other than the aforementioned spell being not exactly overly convenient for the plot of the movie, just very sudden and what I thought was uncharacteristic from Dr. Strange (especially so given everyone that happened beforehand). And maybe a slightly more epic final battle. Seeing all 3 Spider-Man was definitely awesome, just wanted a tiny bit more from the villains. A-.

I feel like that is Dr. Strange's MO (especially since he got demoted)
I really haven't seen the first film since it came out, but isn't he completely reckless and broke every rule in the first film?

 Re: Spider-Man: No Way Home
Just caught this online and well it's a pretty epic Spider-Man sequel. The multiverse plot is applied really well and makes for a fantastical ride from start to finish. I still don't love Tom Holland as much as Spiderman as Maguire, so that makes it all the more great to see all of the different Spider-Men and villains in this. Of the current trilogy it carries more emotional heft than before and it's pretty impressive how it tackles the storyline and all of the characters without getting messy. To some extent however it's more of a compilation than an engaging story that stands on its own and I would have also loved for it to have allowed for some things to breath a bit more. Anyway it's a dynamic experience and also closes the film in an an intriguing way to set up a sequel I look forward to.
