Re: The 17th Annual World of KJ Awards Ceremony!
Welp, we lose Magnus back to exile.
But still an excellent pick! Soul was my personal favorite, but PYW was right there. Blew past my expectations of it being "just another feminist revenge thriller." The story is constantly moving to places you wouldn't expect, the acting is A+ and it made an instant legend out of Emerald Fennell. A WOKJ winner through and through, going through the fire of besting not only KJ God Chris Nolan but TWO PIXAR FILMS. Congrats to the whole team. I hope you win tomorrow too, even though it is highly unlikely.

Re: The 17th Annual World of KJ Awards Ceremony!
While not too surprised at the winner, the rankings were Very Surprising to me. I figured Soul would be the favorite, but it actually came in third. Tenet was actually up at one point, but Promising Young Women ended up taking it by 2. Tenet beat Soul by 1 for second place. Nolan was also very close and I thought he might pull it off since he was getting votes from people who did not go for Tenet too. I think I was the only one who voted Fennell for Director and not Best Picture (Soul!!)

Re: The 17th Annual World of KJ Awards Ceremony!
Happy for those that loved Promising Young Woman, but it did not make my top 10. Tenet and Nolan were head and shoulders above the field for me, I wish we had more big films last year, but then I still didn't even see all of this years contenders, like The Father and Da 5 Bloods yet either.

Re: The 17th Annual World of KJ Awards Ceremony!
I'm extremely happy. Fantastic showing for Promising Young Woman. I honestly thought Moss might win Actress here since The Invisible Man was one of the biggest hits of 2020. I hadn't thought about that until after nominations and then thought maybe I shouldn't have nominated Moss since I wanted Carey to win. Great to see that happened anyway. I'm nervous AF about the Oscars and will be gutted if she doesn't win. Here's hoping it takes Screenplay and Actress but at the very least Actress. These are the only two it has a chance at. I'll be sweating during the Actress announcement. Way too close for comfort for me.
