This is pretty much a mash up of both Wrong Turn and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and while I didn't think it was as good as either of those movies I still found it to be a pretty decent slasher flick elevated by the intense and menacing performances of the killers in particular Simon Phillips who is easily the best part of this movie IMO.

I really didnt care for any of the characters in this outside of the badguys which probably says how weak the characters are in this movie, but its well made, well acted and pretty brutal when it comes to the violence, although I definitely would have liked more gore. The ending felt super rushed to me though.

This has the cruelty lined up nicely but it did not have enough gore or tension needed for this kind of movie to work. The killers were great and menacing here but their efforts are undone by a continuous staged escapes that go nowhere. The twist in the middle act can be seen from miles out and none of the "good" characters were sympathetic. After all that the end was also pretty bad and many things are uncovered just for the shock value without connecting dots from what came before.
