I don't think anyone is really worried it's just that we always want more and sometimes we want a little too much, we are greedy.

[261] - Peninsula (Gaga)

Is there any promotion/Advertisement for this movie in Japan?

I mean, the original Train to Busan didn't do well back in 2017, but after the success of Parasite, perhaps...

I'm not really sure to be honest. I don't know much about the film. I see that reviews are very mixed, and it doesn't have an impressive box office anywhere (understandable, of course), so it probably didn't generate much interest based on this. And from the images I've seen, it looks fairly violent. Generally violet films with gore and such don't do well, as the Japanese tend to favor more suspenseful and/or thriller themed horror films.

And quick note about today: Some theaters open later on New Year's Day (10/11am), so the early morning sales will appear "low", so wait until at least 1/2pm to get an idea on how the day may progress.

Its already near 3 months after the release so the average point for the movie in almost websites more or less fixed, won't change anymore, so we have:

Filmarks :4.1/5
Yahoo Japan Movie: 4.03/5
Eiga: 4/5
Kinetone: 80.6/100

I would say these average points are in the range good-very good.
The impressive thing here is that DS is the movie which got most reivew times there (make sense since it is the highest grossing movie in Japan now) and has still maintained the average point that high. Because the more review times a movie got, the average point tends to be lower and lower.

Averaging a 4+ is great. 4.5 is pretty much as high as anything can achieve.
