All films that would almost certainly be in my own top 100. A damn fine list Tony.
Except for Underworld. That's just smelly.

There is no such thing as too soon to list a movie! How much time do you wait to put a movie on your list, and why?
Dumb and Dumber has been near the top of my list for 11 years. It's one of those few movies I can watch over and over and over again and still laugh every time.

I also agree with Loyal on Sin City. I don't think it was overrated (loved it personally), but it does seem a little soon to be inserting it in any kind of all-time list. Especially that high.

Yessssssss! The Matrix Trilogy is your #1 (mine too), you loved Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (funniest fuckin' movie ever!), and you have other great ones like Dumb and Dumber (classic), Office Space (hilarious), Underworld (w00t!), and Sin City (double w00t!). =D>
:2up: It's great to see someone else who appreciates the Matrix movies and Underworld. We have pretty similar tastes... very cool!
But, does nobody like Memento here?

Sin City was everything I like in a movie... highly stylized, good action, slightly offbeat. If anything it will move up with time. If you look over my list you'll see it fits right in as I gravitate toward the movies that are heavy with a dark style... Dark City, Underworld, Matrix Trilogy... even Run Lola Run is a highly stylized movie. It may not be dark, but it is definitely more about style than substance.
I usually know whether I like a movie right away. Immediately after seing the Matrix I pegged it as my favorite movie ever. Nothing has changed in the 6 years since. I very rarely change my opinion with time. So, why wait?

You better run!!! Memento scored a 94% fresh at Rotten Tomatoes, and is currently listed at #23 of the top 250 at imdb.com. A one trick pony would never fool that many critics and people.

Memento's actually a lot like the first Matrix. First of all, it stars an australian pretending to be American (who had a supporting role in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) and Carrie Ann-Moss, secondly, and most importantly, it was a boring film that used a gimmick/gimmicks to incite audience interest. How many times can you watch a film in bullet time/backwards before you start to judge it on its own (limited) merits?

Not nearly enough. You need to see if it holds up on multiple viewings.
Shenanigans.

You've seen every movie on your top 100 3 times or more? If that were the rule, I'd have to remove over 50% of my list as I rarely watch a movie more than twice, unless I really like it (top 20 material).
