Re: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (INTL)
Cinemas reopen 16dec in France, we can expect a release of DS in early 2021 (maybe January, February or march if the cinemas don't close because of a 3rd wave)

Super lame still hoping that it would be massive in other Asian countries hope it is at least highest earning anime movie at least beat your name even if it won't be biggest blockbuster of 2020 still hoping that board change it's mind and let it get released in China

Re: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (INTL)
The updated box office of Demon Slayer says it has crossed more than 27.5 Billion Yen - https://twitter.com/kimetsu_off/status/1333244360217882624. This is really interesting to see. As said by https://www.giftideasclub.com/kimetsu-no-yaiba-demon-slayer-gifts/, opening weekend isn't the only record it is going to break.

Lol at China. I had a feeling that might ban it just to make sure their own film stays at #1 on the yearly chart.

Re: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (INTL)
Apparently China also pulled/banned Monster Hunter, too, due to an "offensive" joke in the film.

Re: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (INTL)
I think it can still become #1 yearly without a China release once all markets come in, but that may not be until late spring or something. Sort of a reverse Frozen.
But certainly without China it gets way way harder.

Tell the MAGAs they can get revenge on China for the hoax virus by pumping millions of dollars into Demon Slayer’s US run.

Re: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba (INTL)
I just realized that the IMAX screens have now started showing Demon Slayer in Singapore. I guess I will have to make my first, second watch of a movie, in theaters this year.

It's not an original story that can be seen by non-anime viewers and/or non-manga readers. I mean, sure, someone could go see it blind, but they'd be massively confused I'd imagine. How could someone who is blind possibly follow the plot? (I'll see myself out now)
