Here is the updated list of records for the manga, with the numbers from week #51 (November 2nd to November 8th 2020). Noticable this week, the consecutive apparitions of Kimetsu no Yaiba #09 and #10 stopped (they'll lose their spot in 2 weeks) and the limited edition of Kimetsu no Yaiba #20 resurfaced. The manga sold less this week, I guess the cause is a printing issue, if someone can post the printing schedule, I'll really appreciate. Thanks in advance.

Hmm, I see. Although looking at this screenshot, while the number of available tickets for each theater matches the total, the number of admissions does not (adding up admissions for each theater gives a higher number than the total admissions). How come?

My guess (very likely to be correct) is the movix addmission is counted as negative

I agree with ymblcza on last Friday. It did appear too "low" (still huge) compared to Wednesday, .

But using 166,000 for last Friday would throw off the daily estimates which I went back to check after the weekend actuals come out. Take the total as of last Sunday (¥20.48 billion) and subtract from it the total from the previous Sunday (¥15.80 bilion) to get ¥4.68 billion for the weekly total. Then subtract the weekend gross (¥1.772 billion) from that to get ¥2.91 billion as the total from last Monday-Friday. That total is VERY close to what I estimated for the week (¥2.90 billion), so I didn't bother adjusting the dailies that week given how close they were.

HOWEVER, the individual days themselves could have still been off. In particular, the holiday Tuesday figure. If it was just ¥50/60 million lower than I estimated (certainly possible as holidays usually have lower average ticket prices due to families and students coming out), you could add that to Friday's estimate to get roughly what 166,000 admissions from the usual locations would have equated to (¥330 million versus ¥270 million).

Is that understandable?

You were right to bring up how a bigger Friday last week would throw off the dailies. You can look at my post above for a detailed explanation, but basically, I've probably over-estimated last Tuesday (holiday) a bit, and using the extra amount from that and applying it to the Friday makes the weekly total still accurate.

When I post the Daily Tracker here in a bit, I'll adjust last Tuesday and Friday to better represent what each day accounted for that week.

Yes, there were stocking issues due to the demand. Last week, while still huge, was also impacted by it, but it was obviously more noticeable this week as the whole week experienced it.

Reprints are scheduled for November 10 & 11 (a couple days ago, and now major bookstores have set up Demon Slayer zones with checkout and everything due to the sales and lines lol), Nov. 17 & 18, and Dec. 02 & 03. That December week is going to be RIDICULOUS, very likely the biggest week of all time seen since Volume 23, the last one, also releases that week. I wouldn't be shocked if the week approaches 5 million, assuming Vol. 23 sells ~2.5 million copies in 3 days, the backlog "only" needs to do a little over 100,000 each.

I wonder what the first print-run is for Volume 23. If they had the time or just ability to do it, it's certainly over 4 million surely, but I feel they need to get closer to 4.5-5 million since it'll probably approach 4 million copies sold by the end of December.
