Since there’s no movies for a while yet... Let’s make our own.

By voting we will go through the process of creating a movie - picking out the plot, picking a director, picking the cast. There will be 3 movies, a blockbuster, mid budget film and lower budget awards contender. At the end we will see the results in rotten tomatoes score, box office and Oscar attention.

I think it's about time for a Terminator reboot. Give it to $200M and we're bringing back Kristanna Loken. Maybe King Arthur and Robin Hood for the other two. A gritty Lancelot, who has just been pushed to the edge by a society who no longer welcomes white men ~$65M budget. Robin Hood is black and steals from corrupt cops to fund inner city development ~$10M budget.

I think Terminator vs Transformers will be on my list of blockbuster ideas

If I was running a new studio I would focus on horror and romance until we were financially steady, then take a shot with a big sci-fi/fantasy adaptation.

So let's make a movie about Werewolves having sex. Beasts of the Blood Moon. Katie is quite upset about Francis making her a werewolf, but gets over it quickly as the benefits come to light.

Sticking with werewolf romance, Beasts of the Blood Moon, but that would lean further into horror.

I will allow it if romantic drama or high school movie wins. Maybe Teen Wolf 2 if sports movie wins.

Eh, maybe not high school, too many werewolf movies use it as a metaphor for puberty. I want Beasts of the Blood Moon to be about hedonism. Giving in to the desires deep inside despite the cost that will fall on those around you. You can use teenagers for this, but not ones on their period or those who are about to lose their virginity.

I'm going with horror.

There will be at least one werewolf movie on the list, I'll let Flava decide how he wants to go with it. There also needs to be at least one pandemic related choice.

First off our uncreative screenwriters have suggested remakes of Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, The Birds and Contagion 2 (it’s unclear if Soderbergh would return).

An expedition on Mt. Everest turns deadly when climbers are picked off one by one. Is the killer among them, or is it a supernatural force immune to the cold?

Second pitch:

DUDE WHO KILLED MY FRIEND (joke: not really the title)

Horror version of The Hangover. A group of teens get blackout drunk and realize their friend has been brutally murdered. They try to piece together the sequence of events leading to their death.

RAPER

People are getting raped and the seed the left behind by the rapist is explosive, killing the victim brutally. A detective tirelessly hunts for the raper.

Beasts of the Blood Moon - Act 1 - New Sensations

Katie is a mid twenty something, still young and pretty, but not always feeling it. She craves excitement in her life and goes to a party with young folk to try and recapture her high school days. Soon after arriving, she feels silly about this and leaves alone. On the way home, in the light of a full moon, she is savagely attacked.

Some time later, Katie awakes to find that her wounds have healed. Surprising. Maybe it was all a dream? She returns to her old life and the dullness overwhelms her strangely heightened senses. Little things start to become more exciting though, such as running as fast as she can and jumping over large gaps. Strange, but she is happy to have it and not all that eager to question why.

That changes when she is summoned to Werewolf Court to appear as a witness. Her attacker is pleading not guilty and she has to convince a jury of Werewolves that he is. The Werewolf District Attorney, Roxeanne, seems confident that all Katie will have to do is point and that will settle the matter. When facing her attacker in court, she has to ask a question of her own - why? Her attacker, Jackson, says that it wasn’t his fault because nobody taught him how to control himself during a full moon. The entire court, including his own lawyer, erupts at this, saying that werewolves have no problems during full moons, it’s just a myth- a hoax spread by the vampires who want to rule the world. Jackson pleads for them to see it otherwise, but they convict him unanimously.

Katie is even more confused than before. She asks Roxeanne about it who repeats that it is just a myth, something bad werewolves use to excuse themselves. Being a werewolf is perfect, it makes everything feel better and there are no drawbacks at all. Just enjoy your life for the rest of forever. Katie doesn’t buy it though and goes to Werewolf Prison to visit Jackson and learn the truth. He obliges, but what he says about werewolf society is so alarming that she can’t believe that either. She can’t forgive him for what he did, but acknowledges he is not the monster she thought.

The full moon comes and Katie is prepared for the new sensations and quells down her need to commit violence on the random innocents who happen to be nearby. She does really want something though - Jackson. If that requires breaking him out of Werewolf Prison then so be it.
