When was Britney's peak? She burst onto the scene with BOMT but she wouldn't have another top 5 hit for 8 years and not another number one for almost a decade. But she got 3 number ones and 8 top 10 hits from 2007-2012.

Taylor has had more number ones, more top 10 hits, more weeks at number one. Has been an A lister since 2008.

Well Shack was right that her status a sex symbol made her more “famous” then most of the people on this list. Then again, it was a different time, we couldn’t look at hot girls all day long on instagram and Britney didn’t have to worry about being cancelled anytime she said something dumb online. Taylor has also become politically active and is feuding with POTUS, something I can’t imagine Britney ever doing.

I'd say Nelly Furtado was the biggest pop star of 2006 (Promiscius was song of the summer and everybody wanted a piece of Say It Right and Maneater) but yeah, she faded very quickly after that. Oh well, first three albums are still very strong.

For me, group E was easy here, and group F was painful voting against Kesha and Nelly Furtado.

Oops and Toxic barely scraped the Top 10, hits for sure but nowhere near the average Taylor single. Slave didn't even crack the top 20. Gimme More was her second top 5 hit 8 years later. She has definitely never been as consistent of a hitmaker as Taylor.
