 Xerox, Google and now ...
I remember as I was growing up how a lot of people just said 'Xerox' and not photochopy. Google came out and isntead of search, people said 'google it'
A few products have come out (Kleenex) where people just replaced the actual product name with the brand name. This was either because a product completely took over the market and/or was in a league of its own.
I have always hated air fresheners. Loathe them. Not only do they stink, but when they combine with the smell of the stuff you've been trying to get rid of, it gets even worse. All these scented lemon and strawberry and cauliflower smells .. they're all useless. They induce more nausea than anything else.
But i recently discovered a product that gets rid of bad smells by actually doing what its suppose to do. Getting rid of bad smells, not introducing new scents in the air. It also adds a touch of freshness to the room or anywhere you spray it.
The end result: A room that just smells fresh ... nothing more.
The person who invented it should be given a nobel prize.
Hence, this is now a Febreze Appreciation Thread

I had an ex-girlfriend who's nickname was febreze. That pissed me off so much.

Febreeze is sweet!! I agree with you Gimli, most air fresheners do nothing but add a new stench to the room, rarely doing much to cancel out the old stench. Febreeze is a wonder, and a life saver. Many a time has Febreeze successfully neutralized the smell of ganja in my dorm. Not to mention the laundry it's saved me from doing numerous times.
Thank you, Febreeze!!

So, she got rid of bad smells? I guess that's why you two aren't together anymore.

6 cats? Wow! It must really stink in your house because I own only 2 cats, and the house always stinks.

surprisingly it's not bad at all. we'll get the occasional cat vomit/urine on the carpet but it really doesn't smell at all. all our cats are indoor cats so they don't track crap from outside in.
