 BATTLE of the SIMILAR FILMS 6 - Asteroid films of 1998 Battle 6 - Armageddon Vs. Deep Impact - perhaps one of the most renowned instances of studios releasing major blockbusters with the same subject matter within a short time frame.  VS.  Which one do you prefer?

Re: BATTLE of the SIMILAR FILMS 6 - Asteroid films of 1998 Just read on the Wiki page that Spielberg was originally supposed to direct Deep Impact? But he had to finish Amistad first and the studio wanted it out before Armageddon. Wow!

Looking at that still image from Deep Impact makes me wish I liked it more. Haven’t seen it in 20 years though.

1998: Antz v. A Bugs Life (clear win for the latter?)
2011: No Strings Attached v. Friends With Benefits (both forgettable so they tie for the loss)
