Was interested with the premise and trailers but this turned to be another crappy Ed Helms "comedy". There is a good movie hidden in here but they go back for cheap comedy every time which ends up making the characters unlikable. Terrence Little Gardenhigh has good comedic time but his character is just a jerk throughout. Ed Helms plays himself, he can deliver awkward/absurd comedy dialogues but cannot deliver a single emotional line with straight face.

What is Taraji P. Henson doing in this shit? I am really confused because she has a SO MUCH potential and then she goes and constantly deliver turds like these which hurts her career as a serious actor and IMO chances for awards.

Not a very good movie at all, but at least I was entertained for the most part. Ed Helms is Ed Helms and I really didn't feel any chemistry between him and Taraji and there was just too much forced raunchy stuff with and the kid who wasn't all that likable either. What really saved this movie for me were the scenes with Betty Gilpin and RonReaco Lee and his gang. Hell I even wish David Alan Grier had a lot more screen time because I even found his brief scenes to be more amusing than anything else this movie had to offer.

C+
