If US was 2 weeks behind Italy the deaths would plateau in about 4-5 days. On March 21st Italy had 6,557 new cases and 793 deaths, today they had 4,053 new cases and 837 new deaths.

Yikes.

https://variety.com/2020/biz/news/coron ... 203550489/

“The news for movie theaters was particularly grim, with 49% of respondents saying it would take “a few months” to “possibly never” for them to return, and 28% saying they will attend movie theaters less often once they’re safe. While 15% of respondents said they plan on going to the movies more often post-pandemic (and 58% said their attendance won’t change), the net effect suggests an alarming erosion of theatrical returns that exhibitors and studios alike can ill afford.”

While I do see an erosion and theatres closing - taking the survey now while everyone is in a panic will skew the result.

Yeah that’s not going to be accurate when we’re still this early in the pandemic. Try the same survey once theaters have set reopen dates and then we’ll talk.

So, Italy, Spain and France have nursery houses with old folks dying left and right and they aren't counted as victims of this pandemic.

They are running out of body bags.

US should pass 200k cases today. Spain is looking rough with how fast they've caught up to Italy.

UK numbers are pretty bad considering the population

Speaking of China, Trump removed a health expert position embedded in China’s disease control agency. People need to ask him why he did that.

His answer to those questions has consistently been “I didn’t know about it, you’ll have to ask someone else.”

So México being Mexico. A hospital close the US border just had 21 health care providers (doctors and nurses) infected because of how they dealt with one patient. Apparently they weren't given the optimal equipment for protection. Doctors and nurses are about to go on strike because of this.

And then they suspeded beer and all kinds of alcohol sales until May 1st.

China is now reporting asymptomatic cases from abroad. 36 with symptoms and 130 asymptomatic. 78% asymptomatic. The confirmed cases could be just the tip of the iceberg.

Study concludes that Italy is massively underreporting it’s death count. And this is a country that’s testing the dead. It’s not just China, all countries are underreporting their deaths and cases.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-italy-tally/italy-coronavirus-death-rate-slows-but-studies-suggest-true-tally-higher-idUSKBN21J677

More on China, including estimates of 42,000 missing asymptomatic cases, and over 200,000 total cases if China had consistently used certain diagnostic criteria.

We’ll all be dead before that. He needs to be removed in January ‘21.
