Favorite film of 2010s tournament - Gravity vs Arrival
Which female led sci-fi film is the best? Gravity (2013 winner) Arrival (2016 winner)

This is the opposite of my TDK/Interstellar answer. Gravity was an AMAZING theater experience. But I love Arrival too much.

Arrival has some great moments like entering the ship, but the twist was doing too much. Gravity is all around great. Vote Gravity

This is a tough choice. I would have selected Gravity or Arrival against Interstellar easily..... ugh
I'll go with Gravity for this one but just barely

Arrival is good until you know the twist. The second viewing is boring because the thrill of figuring it out is lost.

I would have gone Gravity/Interstellar, but Arrival/TDKR doesn't make as much sense for the other pairing as TDKR/Interstellar

Yes I agree. It's just frustrating that one of those two movies will proceed and not these two. Appreciate what you're doing here Shack

Arrival, by far. I've seen it many times by now and it always wrecks me emotionally. I really liked Gravity in the theater but could barely made it through a second viewing at home.

I had a great time when I first watched Gravity, but damn Arrival is easily the more memorable film IMO.
