Better for all the openers than I was expecting tbh. Downton's success is a very welcome surprise.

Hustlers's drop should ensure a 100m total, yay.

Another stunning $30M breakout, defying current trends. Expect a platter of TV movies to be greenlit in the next week.

Really strong for Rambo too. Didn’t seem like it had much hype and the terrible reviews didn’t help. Still has a loyal fanbase though.

Meh for Ad Astra.

Downton Abbey's Sat stayed flat from its Friday minus previews. Some frontloading but not as much as the first Sex and the City had.

Ad Astra did fine for a meditative space film.

Rambo's number was similar to the 2008 entry.

Hustlers seems headed for $100m+.

Over $80m is a lock for Good Boys.

It doesn't look like Brittany Runs a Marathon will have a marathon-like run. But I hope Amazon Studio keeps it longer in the theaters because its WOM is strong with an 88% audience score at RT.

Great opening for Downtown Abbey and pretty decent openings for Ad Astra and Rambo. Hustlers is going to end up making a really nice profit for STX as well just like The Upside.

Apparently they didn't even make much on The Upside for some reason.

Looks like success all round this weekend. Great to see some BO depth for once. Shame the studios are pissing it all away next week with one release.

That's decent for Ad Astra. Hopefully it can make $50m+ from here. WOM is indeed mixed.

DA should have good legs. Yes it has some franchise front-loading but its demographic tend not to rush out so legs should be strong overall.

Solid for Rambo considering its the 5th outing and reviews are so so.

Good hold for Hustlers - enough for $100m total.

Ad Astra should be happy with what it can scrape because I don't think it's going to be leggy at all.

I watched it last night with three others. One guy fell asleep but he went in blind. Another was somewhat interested and he felt it was a waste of time. The next guy who actually brought up watching it in the first place thought it was disappointing and I thought it was actually good overall though the end disappointed me as well.

Why would a blind guy go to a movie?

I can’t help compare Ad Astra to that slow and depressing First Man movie. And I’m sure others have done the same and stayed away from it for that same reason.

The strongest parts of Ad Astra were the action moments. The daddy issues space psychodrama was mediocre. If the whole movie had been like that lunar chase sequence it could’ve been up there with Gravity.

Despite being in the public eye for nearly 25 years, J. Lo has never seen a live action $100 m movie. She may get higher quality roles vs the standard rom com. Big milestone.

Ad Astra was trying too hard to be Oscar bait. It did make me wonder what a Terence Malick space drama would be like..
