I started a thread on it back at BOM and no one responded, so I assumed not many people saw it what with its 5 theatre limited release. But you saw it too? This movie really needs to get more loving. Its hilarious. My favorite scene was the dinner scene too. I went with two friends it we just knew it was coming ten seconds before it happened. When the aliens are like "Let observe what they do and then we'll know what to do with this 'food' thing." And then animala dives into her bowl face first and they follow suite. =D> I think I feel a movie night coming on! \:D/
I have the DVD and watched it 3 or 4 times now. Recently another couple was over to our house and we showed it to them, and they thought it was the funniest thing ever. I imagine it's an aquired taste as it is so cheesy and goofy, but it's my kind of movie. The scenes with the aliens trying to act human are the bestest!

40. The Big Lebowski - 1998 – Jeff Bridges/John Goodman
39. Fairenheit 9/11 - 2004 - Michael Moore
38. Airplane – 1980 – Leslie Neilson
37. Army of Darkness - 1993 – Bruce Campbell
36. Clerks - 1994 – Brian O’Hallaran
35. Emperor’s New Groove - 2000 - Animated

Those are some excellent choices! Airplane, The Royal Tenenbaums and The Big Lebowski are excellent comedy choices. Can't get much better than that. I loved Fahrenheit 9/11, and Emperor's New Groove is the second best animated Disney film EVER!!!!!!! Collateral is also a fantastic film.
PEACE, Mike

Woo hoo! I scored an 8 out of 10 on the MikeQ meter. Your good taste, combined with the fact that loyal dissed Bruce Campbell, just moved you a notch ahead of him on my patented "cool scale".

You might not like it. It's a goofball movie with a lot of stupid humor, so it depends on if you like that type of thing. But, it would probably be worth a rent... and, you really don't need to see Evil Dead 1 or 2 to watch it... it's not that kind of trilogy. And, if you want to watch the others, I'd skip the 1st one and just watch ED2.

Well, thank you! You make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. But, that might be the alcohol too.

Get your own damn alcohol!!! :swear:
Sorry about that... I've had one too many and am turning into an angry drunk. There's a fine line between "warm and fuzzy" and "obnoxious and angry" for me.

I'm shocked to see you aren't crazy about Spinal Tap. That seems like it'd be your brand of humor.
I just liked the Secretary because it was incredibly offbeat and had a couple great performances by Gyllenhaal and Spader. I like movies that defy the norm and are slightly left of center. But, it's definitely not for everyone.
But, I'll take 6 out of 10! rink:

Wow... 7 out of 10. That's shocking because usually you have really bad taste.
Have you never seen Spinal Tap, or do you just not like it?
