It looks like a competition between Superbabies and Catwoman for the worst picture Razzie.
But don't count out the...er...overdogs like the Village and the Alamo.

Catwoman will get all of those...
But The Village will (hopefully) get nominated too!

In recent years The Razzies have picked popular films that ended up making a lot of money that critically stunk.
Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle - 2003
Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones - 2002
Pearl Harbor - 2001

That is because if they don't do that the people will stop paying attention to them...

But it is in trend to bash Catwoman this year, just like it was in trend to bash Gigli last year, Swept Away and Battlefield Earth in years before that...

The village wasnt panned that much by critics. It got 3 stars in my local paper, and the reviews were very mixed.

Star Wars: EPISODE II - Attack of the Clones as well as the Matrix Sequels were nominated in their years and those got mostly even better reviews than The Village.
Each year they nominate one blockbuster and this one seems like the most likely candidate.

What, they'll pick the Village over AVP? I hope they pick AVP, because The Village was a good movie, but I doubt it.

The razzies are some of the stupidest awards ever to be handed out .. one would think their nominations would have some merit but mainly, the people deciding them sound like those idiots I come across who have never really seen a movie but badmouth it cause others have done so and its more socially acceptable to make the movie sound that way ....
