The type with lots of explosions and gunfire, yet still sure manages to be boring.

It is a shame this isn't doing better at the box office, because it's a really good film. I usually opt for something else if there's a choice between a submarine movie and anything else. But today I went for the submarine movie. Probably because of Gerard Butler. And damn, it was actually good! I really got into all the torpedo action, and it nicely mixes underwater stuff with a four-man team on foot. And the whole idea of Russia versus the USA at the moment just made this even more fun. Gary Oldman is pretty wasted, but Butler redeems himself from last year's awful Geostorm. B
